I love your name. I missed the introduction if you had one so here is mine. Welcome to the board. Are you a Faery? I sometimes do things with the Radical Faeries. (Insert High Pitched Squeel)YOOHOO!!! (/High Pitched Squeel) We want more info as your profile is a little vague.
What a shock to see my name!!! To quote Eeyore, thanks for noticin’ me.
While I like to think I’m a fascinating person and I have a certain something, I’m not particularly mystical or fairy-like - the name was a gift from a friend who knows of my chat addiction. And it’s SOOOOO much more exciting than “Michelle”
What more do you need to know? I’m 46, married with a teenage daughter and 2 idiot dogs. I spent 11 years on active duty in the Navy, and I’ve worked for the Navy as a civ since '85. When I’m not chatting or surfing to the detriment of my family and my health, I like to sail. I have dreams of being a writer, but I don’t deal well with rejection, so I’ve never submitted anything I’ve written. My favorite color is red and I’d do unspeakable things for fine chocolates. And yes, my hair color is natural and I still have my own teeth, but I don’t have my gallbladder.
…oh yeah, I had accordion lessons when I was 7 - I think that mught explain a lot…
Actually, I spent my formative years in Baltimore county, and I’m not tough, mad, bad, or dangerous. OK, I have my cranky times and I have little patience for stupid people and I want to eviscerate some people - but only those who deserve evisceration. I’m a MOM, fercryinoutloud!! Apple pie and ruffly apron and perfectly coiffed and manicured…
Uh, well, THAT may be a bit over the top. I have baked pies in the past, I think I own an apron, I combed my hair and clipped my nails within recent memory.
Wait - why am I putting all this out for the world to see? It must be some sort of feeble attempt to attract attention and gain acceptance. How pathetic am I?!?! <sigh>
Afraid I can’t oblige with a well-played accordion. I had 10 lessons. All I remember from memory is the Marine Corps Hymn and a polka I wrote way back then. Last time I donned my squeezebox <I really thought hard before writing that> was for a Gong Show - I won!!
And now - my one and only accordion joke <or is that redundant?>
Did ya hear about the all-girl topless accordion band? The music is great but you can’t hear it over the screams
I think I’ll sit here quietly for a while now.
And thanks to all for the welcomes - I’m feeling all warm and squishy inside…
hmmm - my best is a peach streusel pie, but I’ve also made the obligatory pumpkin, custard, buttermilk, peach, apple, and maybe others I’ve forgotten. All have long since been ingested by various and sundry family and friends. But if you give me a bit of warning, I’ll be sure to have one ready when you stop by…
