So we can get in for only $3 on the 21st, but there won’t be a lot to see. Does this need to be put off till October? We can just do the lunch and the Harbor. No matter to me either way. I’ll be back in Balto over Columbus Day weekend, so that Sunday would work for me too. Anyone? Anyone?
Yeah, I noticed on the website they didn’t have a big show up – but I didn’t realize that meant they were 5/7 closed. (what’s that, 70% or so? sigh.)
Let’s wait. I’ll make sure avhHines knows – I recruited here specifically for this – FCM, you seem to have a better grasp on the possibles than I do, would you email anyone who needs to be emailed.
It’s frustrating to put it off again, but it makes sense to wait, and since the lunch and museum have always been tied together we should postpone the lunch, too. FCM, how is the weather on the harbor in October?
Regarding October harbor weather - your guess is as good as mine. I expect it’ll be cool to chilly. However, unless one is a hothouse flower, one merely adds an extra layer, right?
Another consideration about the 21st - depending upon Hurricane Isabel’s path, Baltimore could well be extremely rainy and windy that day. I promise you, that is not the kind of day you want to spend at a marina, much less out on the water.
Are there some mysterious forces conspiring to keep the Doper Wimmins from gathering together? Sheesh, it’s not like we’re meeting to plan a coup or anything, ya know?
We’re thinking that Dope The Halls III will be December 6. Barring, of course, work Christmas parties for the two of us, or extended Advent services that I’ll have to perform.
We will have to do something in November. A friend from Canada is coming down to visit, and I want to show her the sights around DC and Baltimore, possibly Philly. I need suggestions as well as friends to come along, if they’d like.
