False equivalencies helped get us into this mess and precious snowflakes still haven't learned...

In the first few weeks of the Donald Trump presidency, our commander in chief has done the following things:

[ul]
[li]Greenlit the Dakota Access and Keystone pipelines[/li][li]Reinstated the anti-abortion global 'gag rule[/li][li]Signed an executive order to build his fucking wall[/li][li]Targeted and threatened Sanctuary Cities[/li][li]Started dismantling the ACA[/li][li]Put a gag order on the EPA and USDA[/li][li]Is taking on our Constitutional checks and balances[/li][li]Started banning people from coming to this country because of their religion[/li][li]Violated court orders against his ban[/li][li]Put White Supremacists in the White House[/li][li]Got an unqualified, scary anti-education person to run the Department of Education[/li][li]Cut money for Medicaid and Planned Parenthood[/li][li]Strained relationship with Australia, an ally[/li][li]Strained relationship with China and Iran, our foes[/li][li]Nominated for the Supreme Court someone against gay rights, for corporate rights, and is likely against reproductive rights[/li][li]Put the unqualified, terrible likes of Rick Perry and Ben Carson in his cabinet [/li][/ul]This is not even a full list of the things Trump has done in the past less-than three weeks in office.

Trump supporters, alleged conservatives and those who just put on pom-poms and cheer team GOP (and love stickin’ it to the Libs) like these things. This Pit post is not for you. You all suck but for very different reasons.

This is for the members of the left who, despite the above and more, are still clinging to the same bullshit false equivalencies that helped Trump get elected. In social media I see lefties posting about the terrible things Trump is doing but they still don’t seem to understand that they helped make this happen! Anyone who did not do everything they could to defeat Donald Trump has allowed this to happen, but at least those who actively supported him are getting their way. You morons voted for Jill Stein and called Hillary a “warmonger” and even now, still say stupid shit that says that both sides were the same, Hillary would have been just as bad.

Really? Honestly, anyone who believes this is too stupid to breath without assistance. Even knuckle-dragging Trump supporting mouth-breathers know that’s not true. THAT’S WHY THEY SUPPORTED TRUMP!

At this point if you still espouse these false equivalencies, there are only two reasons for this.

Either you can see what is obvious to everyone and you do realize that you misjudged the situation, but you are too cowardly to admit you fucked up.

Or you’re an idiot.

Either way, you deserve not only the scorn you receive but the President that we have. So fuck off.

These people could justifiably be called morons before the election, because both candidates made it clear what their agendas were, and there was no way in hell Stein was going to win.

These people could also justifiably be called morons ever since 1999, because the same was true back then of Gore, Bush, and Nader.

There’s really no excuse. If you have the choice between the lesser and the greater evil, and you fail to do what you can to ensure the lesser, you’ve enabled the greater evil. And if you thought Clinton was the greater evil, let alone still think it… tell me, what do windows taste like?

How about this precious snowflake?

Jill Stein on twitter about the confirmation of DeVos that all democratic senators and two republicans voted against:

You mean all the evil that Trump has unleashed upon the word is worse than Hillary’s emails? Shocking!

I don’t know about anyone else, but IMHO any thread that starts off with some variation of “precious snowflake” pretty much guarantees its irrelevance.

Off to fuck, as directed in the OP, now. Carry on.

Is pointing out that Hillary was a horrible candidate engaging in false equivalence?

I voted for her because the alternative was so bad but it almost sounds like you are saying that I should not have been critical of her.

How are anti-Hillary or anti-Democrat leftists “precious snowflakes”? Are you saying they don’t take criticism well? Or that they think they’re unique and special and morally pure because they don’t sully themselves with mainstream partisan politics? Or is it just a snarl word at this point?

Oh yeah, about that… Trump and his flying monkeys are using unsecured phones and computers… the same thing they wanted “Hitlery” jailed for… even though the FBI never found shit on her. In fact Scummy Comey made a big “nothing to say” announcement about it that had an impact on the outcome of the election. Suddenly now, that rat fuck is silent.

WE didn’t vote for Trump, we didn’t buy into any false equivalence, WE didn’t look the other way, every time more slimy Trump info bubbled up from the toilet. WE didn’t vote for Stein. WE didn’t vote for Johnson.

How many people voted in the election? LOTS
How many voted for Clinton? LOTS PLUS ANOTHER 3 MILLION.
Here’s some interesting data, just for general info
https://www.statista.com/topics/2722/2016-election/
Trump won the Electoral. Clinton won the popular vote. But he just can’t let it go. If you only used raw numbers (even though that doesn’t count) he is a fucking loser. Why do you think he is so obsessed with this shit? He’s a fucking LOSER.

I don’t care how many unnecessary bogus investigations he tries to launch he is still aa FUCKING LOSER.

Even sitting his stupid ass in the White House, he is a FUCKING LOSER. And it’s driving him even crazier than he already was.
Added on edit: Stop shifting responsibility, and blame the mother fuckers who voted for him.

Excellent litany of Trump sins (Trumpsins in newspeak?)

But scolding the few percent of the small percent that actually voted is IMO the same as blaming Nader for Florida 2000 – weaksauce.

There was an enthusiasm gap and the Trumpets rushed in to fill it.

Dems ignored flyover country for 16 years. They answered with Trump You.

I don’t get his. Democrats haven’t ignored “flyover countries” at all. They got healthcare. They got safety. They got jobs. They got less predatory actions by Wall Street. They got a dead Osama Bin Laden. They got a recovery for the US Auto industry.

What they didn’t get is pandering to the idiots, bigots and scaredicats. Hence, Trump.

I’m trying real hard, but obviously not always succeeding, at not commenting in Snowflake threads after I fell for the Pit thread about actual snowflakes.

Well now they won’t have jobs. They won’t have healthcare. They won’t have safety. They will have more Wall Street predation.

Fuck them.

I don’t think that came out the way you intended…

Me too. I voted for Bernie as the lesser of evils in the primary. Then Hillary as the lesser of evils in the general.

Yep, they’re hearing that loud and clear. Funny how they responded with Trump, innit. Maybe it’s the only thing we can hear. Maybe it’s something like self harm/cutting, except they’re burning all the lifeboats.

They’ve also got cheap opiods and are dying like flies; ODs have outpaced guns and cars as leading causes of death. The indicators are all quite clear: the globalization era has been deadly to the white working classes (incomes down & life expectancy down). Something something drowning people will try to stand on your shoulders to get another breath.

Are you really sure the Dems didn’t ignore flyover country? We’re supposed to be one nation, dammit.

Depends on what you consider flyover territory.

I live in western ohio, I did not feel ignored by the dems.

Many of my neighbors, however did.

I think it was more that the dems weren’t saying what they wanted to hear, “We will bring back the blue collar middle class jobs with great benefits, and they will stay here and that way forever.”

Trump did make that promise to them. It was a pure lie, but they were desperate enough to believe it.

It’s not ignoring the problems of the people if you address them in every way you can, and they still choose not to take even the slightest step of self actualization.

Except the Democrats, and Hillary, did say that. Over and over. And they pointed out the 11 million + jobs created under Obama.

But they couldn’t force people to actually listen, let alone think critically about the facts.

Cool. I hope he can get more done faster. I’m not tired yet.

This is beautiful. If we can get rid of the DOE that would be icing.

Fun fact. When was the Dept of Edu created?

Jimmy Carter.

Schools were doing just fine, in fact much better, before the Dept of Uneducation was around.

WE DON’T NEED IT!

It’s just a mechanism for the .gov to meddle in state affairs.

Ironically it isn’t which is why we don’t need it. The states have more control over education than any other sphere I can think of. On the other hand, I do foresee a possibility of the Ed Dept meddling in future state affairs by “incentivizing” them to adopt more state funding of private and religious schools.
