Family Guy 11/13

Verry funny episode.

What episode set up Stewie saying, “Finish your novel” in that high tone voice? I didn’t get it.

That was just so wrong. But I laughed. A lot.

For my BSEE I had to take Modern Physics - think it was a 3xx level class. We covered Special Relativity (general was mentioned only in passing), but the majority covered quantum mechanics. Actually some of the same equationes were introduced earlier in (IIRC) EE303 - semiconductors, but it wasn’t until modern physics that I actually UNDERSTOOD the equations.

Brian

Stewie regularly makes doomsday devices. I assume he’s got a good grasp of physics.

Has anyone ever actually seen Stewie and The Brain together in one place???

It was one of the early 4th season episodes. There was an extended(Overly so, IMHO) joke where Stewie went on for a minute or so about brian writing a novel or something like that, prodding him about it. I was so glad when Brian smacked stewie when he started it again.

I’m just not a big fan of the jokes that go on forever. I hate the “Chocolate factory” joke with peter hurting his knee that goes on for 30 seconds.

The Giant Chicken fights are the only exception, and the 2nd was wearing thin until they reached the airfield.

Aha! So you did pass it!

The funniest moment of the episode was when Hawking “slapped” his wife and apologized that Brian had to see that.

And when he blamed his wife for “making” him do it.

My best laugh came when they first got the A-Team van and had to let the wheelchair ramp down & back up for Joe. Drawn out just long enough, and the right sound effects, too. LET’S DO IT!!

MacinTalk? Never heard of it.

Sounded to me like JAWS for Windows. Although there’s no particular reason to expect Hawking to use a screen reader for the blind. Does anybody know what Hawking uses when he’s doing a guest spot for Groening? And was that actually credited as Hawking? 'Cause it looked like that guy who trash-talked Joe at the Paralympics.

Does anyone remember what the flashbacks were in this episode? One was really funny, but I can’t recall it now. It wasn’t the “Stewie at Woodstock.” I thought that one was lame.

Well, there was “that day I tried TAG body spray for sick cats.” That might be it, unless you’re counting the guillotine scene.

  • TAG body spray for cats (so wrong…)
  • Stewie at Woodstock (I did like how he pronounced “mari-hhwana”)
  • Louis and the guillotine
  • The girl and her “college dating” class (warnings of rape)
  • Ashley Simpson on SNL
  • Wheelchair sex (Hawking and wife)

I think these are all the ones that would qualify as flashbacks in this one.

It was Louis getting fired. I loved that. “It’s not working out, so, um,” <thunk>
