Just wondering if anyone else likes this show as much as I do. I find it very amusing, almost as funny as the Simpsons, but with more of an edge. Does anyone else think FOX should move it to 8:30 Sun. nite? Futurama, KOTH, Simpsons and Family Guy would be a killer animated block of comedy.
I’d like if they replaced Futurama with Family Guy and left Malcolm right where it is. Futurama is watchable, but not one of my favorites. Family Guy has great potential. Well, Stewie does, at least. That kid should have his own show.

It is okay, I don’t like it, but don’t hate it either. The best part was the very first episode when KoolAid Man crashed through the wall in the courtroom “Oh Yeah!!!”
“I have a lot of good ideas, problem is most of them suck.” -George Carlin
Family Guy is the most loathsome show I have ever seen in my whole entire life, bar none. It almost literally makes me vomit. It is as crude in its animation as in its language. Fox TV cannot possiblly sink any lower, and it cannot in any way be compared to the Simpsons or Futurama as it contains zero wit. What next, why not an animated half hour of cartoon characters taking a dump - edgy enough for you?
Most of my friends and I all LOVE Family Guy. THe only episode that we agree was a disapointment was the Y2K episode. Otherwise I thought Sunday, March 5’s episode was another gem.
Alas, I don’t know how long it will last on the air. I have a feeling it might not be too long, which is unfortunate. I also liked “the Critic,” but that didn’t stay afloat for more than a season or two either.
Another vote for Family Guy. But I don’t think they should put it on Sundays because they need to spread around their good shows. I like the Sunday line-up just as it is.
That said, I’m glad to hear that FOX is planning to do fewer “reality” shows. I’m tired of Robbie Knievel Jumping Over a Train While Being Chased by Police Cars as Wild Animals Attack a Millionaire’s Wedding.
Well, I don’t love Family Guy or Futurama, but they are both tolerable. I do think Futurama is wittier, but that’s IMHO. I really like both King of the Hill and The Simpsons, but I always forget King of the Hill is on because it’s at 7:30. Simpsons seems like it’s getting worse. After a decade, what else is there to do?
I’m another Family Guy fan, although I’ll be first to admit it’s generally about 15min of 80’s pop culture references with 5 min of plot and 10 of commercials. I also love Futurama which I thought had a weak start and is now going along swimmingly. Still like KOTH, though the 2-part episode didn’t do much for me, nor did Peggy’s broken leg.
As for the Simpsons, I love the old syndicated episodes… never miss them. 85% of the new ones are miserable, especially compared to the “middle” episodes froma round seasons 4-7 or so.
Malcom in the Middle just blows.
“I guess one person can make a difference, although most of the time they probably shouldn’t.”
Family Guy is even better when you catch the Rhode Island references. The father works at a toy factory: Hasbro. The town’s name is Quahog, the RI clam. The Providence skyline is almost always in the background. They go to Paw Sox games. Doesn’t get better than that.
That, and Stewie just plain rocks…
Jeremy…
Nobody ever calls me after they’ve done something smart.
I LOVE Family Guy… No it’s not the Simpson’s but nothing ever was or will be. I also agree that Brian the Dog is the best character. The fact that his name is Brian alone wins. I can’t watch “Malcolm”. Futurama and King of the Hill are ok, but I don’t intentionally tune in to catch 'em.
That’s what I would call entertainment! Who wants to share the film rights with Sal and I? Now, is that a collective dump like into a pit or something or various vignettes of them crapping?
Also…
Matt Groening seems like he’s trying to ween people off of the Simpsons and on to Futurama. However, with Futurama’s ratings it would seem that he’s failing miserably.
Family Guy is great, but missing Buffy…
Malcolm in the Middle should die a greusome plunger death! It’s funny and all, but it puts Anime (I think maybe Lodoss War, any other guesses?)and professional wrestling in the same collage… BASTARDS!
I love Family Guy but how can someone even suggest that it replace Futurama!? Futurama is great and it’s about the only reason I want to watch TV on Sunday nights. I’d definitely have to put in my vote for that Sunday lineup proposed…get rid of Malcolm. It sucks.
