I think a lot of people have heard the Linda Hamilton has a twin sister who played her (and the liquid-metal Terminator) in T2. I just found out that Nicholas Brendon, who played Xander on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, has a twin brother named Kelly Donovan. (Both were born with the last name Schultz, but they use their middles names.) Kelly played his twin (of sorts) in one episode, and filled in for some fight scenes once when he was sick.
That’s freaky, especially seeing that Kelly has gone gray; I don’t know if Nicholas has as I haven’t seen much of him since Buffy ended. It must be strange to go through life as the identical twin of a celebrity, or to run into one.
Conrad Bain- bka the dad on Diffrent Strokes, has (or had- not sure if he’s still living) an identical twin, Bonar. He appeared in an episode of Maude with his brother as, of course, Bain’s character’s identical twin.
Dierdre Hall- star of Days of Our Lives- (or used to be, no idea if she’s still on it) has an identical twin who’s done some body double work for her on the show when Marlena was in one of her 32 comas.
Jill Hennessy (Law & Order) has a twin. They appeared together as twin hookers in the movie Dead Ringers (though her sister has largely ignored the acting profession).
He also appeared on SCTV as…Conrad Bain’s identical twin brother. (Named Hank on the show, however.) He really, really did look like his brother at that point. You’d think by the time they hit their 60s, they’d have differentiated a bit more, but…
If they were less than a year apart they’d be “Irish twins” when I was a kid. You can tell their mom is Polish because there was fourteen months between 'em.
Referring to Charlie as an actor is charitable. Not that Jerry’s going to be piling up Oscars or anything, but at least he seems to have a modicum of talent. Charlie is only slightly more vibrant than a stone wall.
Goddammit. For some reason, my eyes skipped completely over that and right to the Nicholas Brendon sentence. It’s like that part just appeared right now out of nowhere. Yeah, that’s the ticket…
IIRC, he didn’t even do quite that much. It was still mostly Nicky playing both Xanders. The only scenes that had Kelly rather than Nicky playing a Xander were the ones where both Xanders were on screen interacting together. I suppose it’s comparable to Linda Hamilton’s twin playing Sarah Connor’s reflection and T1000 double.
