Fans Of Conservative Or Sports Talk Shows: Have Your Hosts Mentioned The World Cup In Any Context

Back when I used to listen to sports-talk radio, whenever the World Cup would come around, the hosts (usually conservatives) would treat the whole thing with something on a continuum between bored indifference and blatant hostility. Since I’ve listened to neither sports-talk radio nor conservative talk radio in over a decade and two decades, respectively, I’m curious if this is still the case.

Any takers want to share their experiences?

The buzz I paid attention to last week was about the flops and other acting whenever there was contact. The emoting in an attempt to draw a penalty kick. I don’t watch but the radio guys were all over it. Also one of the hosts is a fan (coaches his kid’s team) while the other goes for hockey.
