What a rough start for me. I did some really damn good drafting this year, I think, and yet my 4 SDMB teams are going to be a combined 4 and 8 after week 3. In 11 out of 12 matchups, I was a projected score favorite, and in about half of them a 10+ point projected score favorite, but I’m off to a pretty harsh losing record.
I don’t think my high projections were just in my head either - the people doing draft reviews generally put me amongst the best in all the leagues.
Oh well. Still plenty of time to get on track.
Woops, 5-7, not 4-8. And I’d be 6-6, except I got cute and I thought NO/BUF was gonna be a shootout and GB/StL was gonna be a runfest so I started Trent Edwards over Aaron Rodgers. Woops.
I would like to thank DeAngelo Williams for not running rampant all over Dallas last night, securing my first win in the 20 team league. I can’t believe my WRs have been reduced to Breaston/Chambers/Rashied Davis! C’mon Bowe and Welker - you can get better…
And I about crapped myself when I heard that Tashard Choice put up big numbers, because I went up against Quentin’s JAMmers in the He Hate Me league. I guess I hadn’t checked in, because I put up quite a lead late on Sunday. Quentin put up a great week with a bunch of young guys, so I got lucky.
3-0 on the week for the first time feels good, but I have a lot of questions across the board to feel too confident about any of my teams.
A lot of his value depends on whether your league counts return yards. In my league he’s the #5 RB in total points so far with 52, but 15 of those are from returns.
I didn’t realize that he was still going to be returning kicks while starting at tailback. I commented in the Week 3 thread that that seems like a really bad idea on the Chargers’ part.
Hmm, did no one in the SDMB leagues make a waiver claim this week, or is yahoo being weird?
Edit: I made 2 claims in the all pro league, and neither have been processed yet. But when I go to the available players list, some players are on waivers (ex: Health Miller, Matt Hasselbeck, Laverneous Coles) but most are in free agency. Not quite sure what’s going on. Some of those players were dropped by owners and may still be on waivers from that if the automatic waiver period prolongs it, but some players currently listed on waivers were never owned). Not quite sure what’s going on.
I made a waiver claim yesterday in the dynasty league and it processed fine this morning.
Looks like they were late, and everything’s going through now.
I think there was a several-hour period where waiver claims were held, but not yet processed. So players who had a pending claim stayed under waivers, and players that didn’t became free agents. So we had instances of people adding free agents before waivers were announced - but no one was able to steal someone else’s waiver claim as a free agent.
Witnessed another mugging. A guy traded away Steve Breaston and Julius Jones and got Darren McFadden, Marshawn Lynch, and Patrick Clayton. I was offered Breaston and Julius for Sproles, but I didn’t take it because I didn’t trust Julius, and Sproles was my handcuff for the injured LT. I think I probably should have.
I am in the top 4 in total scoring in all 3 SDMB fantasy leagues I’m in (HHM, auction, dynasty) and I’ve won all three weeks of the NFL Yardage Pool thread so far.

So, with Warner on a Bye this week, Joe Flacco comes off the bench. I’ve been itching to get him in there all season. I expect Belicheck to try and rattle him, but we’ll see how it goes.

This is my second year in the HHM league, and I inherited a really keeper roster last year. I thought I did finish in the top three in the auction league last year (also my first), but I can’t find a recap thread.
I’d want to see LT play a full game before putting him back in, unless I was desperate. Honestly, I probably wouldn’t want to play anyone against Pittsburgh anyway.
I’d take Knowshon over Caddy. He’s still banged up.
