I’m not sure if I should have started this thread, or added it to the other, but they seem to be in full fantasy swing.
Is there anyone else out there that would be interested in doing an SDMB fantasy football league that didn’t get in on wolfman’s league? If so, I’d be happy to set it up.
If we get at least 6 interested parties (me being 1), I’ll fire it up, set a late draft day, and hope we get at least 2 more entrants.
There was a different league run by Milossarian last year. I liked that one and was hoping to re-up, but I have seen much from Milo in a while.
Any info on that league?

I was in Milo’s league last year too, been waiting to see if he’d start another. Missed out on Wolfman’s, I’ll play if you set it up Munch. As long as it’s on Yahoo, I hate Sandbox.

I was still planning to do a league. But some of our more eager beavers were starting them in July.
I can’t remember who all was in ours last year; otherwise I’d email them all. But it was a good bunch.
So, in summation, yes, I was either planning to start a Doper league, or join one.
I’ve been in leagues with Munch before, and I trust his judgement as a commissioner.
Either way, it’s fine with me.

The fast live draft is tentatively set for 9 p.m. EST on Wednesday, Sept. 11. That’s negotiable; however, night draft slots are filling up fast, and those are usually the ones that work best for people coast-to-coast.
Sandbox allows you to modify your draft rankings rather easily, so it isn’t the end of the world if you can’t make the live draft.
I’m thinking 10 or 12 teams, depending upon interest. We already have about 4 or 5 signed up.

It looks like all of last year’s “NFL predictions, week X” threads from weeks 13 and on were lost in the great crash of '01. I do recall Gazoo saying that you, Shibb, should lead the SDMB pick 'em this year. If you want to and want so help, I am willing. If you’re not interested in doing it, I can set it up.
Is Munch in? Obviously I’m not going to hijack his football league thread and create a league that he’s not in.

Mouthbreather: I don’t mind at least getting the ball rolling on that one; would just like to see Gazoo around as he is AFAIK the progenitor of those threads.
But I was also referring to a league, on Yahoo!, where each person picked and ranked every game each week. Then points were awarded based on ranking. For example, if there were 16 games in week 1, then you would rank the games from 16 (most confident) to 1 (least confident). So there would be 136 points that week. Fewer in Bye weeks. Whoever has the most points at the end of the season wins.
Now, during the playoffs I added a sort of points for picks thing, with rankings and such. All in fun. May do that if time allows and my interest is still there come playoffs time. Depends on how my Bucs do in the new AFC south. BTW, are you a Falcons fan or do I correctly recall that your loyalties lie with the Steelers?
