Fantasy Football QB dilema - McNair or Carr?

They’re both playing injured. (Probable and Questionable usually mean little to these people)

They are playing each other this weekend.

McNair is traditionally very strong at home but has been below par this season til last Monday night against Green Bay.

Carr is wowing everybody with his yardage and TDs, but has INT problems to consider. especially worrisome since Tennessee’s DBs and safties can intercept God on a good day.

One other variable is that I hold a strong receiver for the Titans, too. So, if McNair does have a good day, my fantasy points would add up pretty darn quick.

Other than that, I am somewhat weak on WRs. I absolutely KILL on RBs, K, and DEF, holding some preseason #1s and 2s who have lived up to their ratings.

It’s always the QB dilema that gets me. One isn’t supposed to be doing good and is. Are we heading for a crash? Or is he genuinely good? The other is top rated, yet not living up to it…yet? Do I hold out hope? Or leverage some good trades?

Oh, the problems we have here in our Sunday armchairs!

Based on the match-up, I’d go with McNair (provided he’s probable or better). The Titan’s DBs are tough, and Houston’s aren’t - it’s as simple as that.

Staley v. Dal or S. Davis v. Philly?

Good point, Munch. Thanks

Anyone got a free site for match up write ups? I’ve been using Yahoo, NFL.com, and a subscriber service ($9.95 for the whole year with weekly updates) But they are all lax in spelling out what the defenses are like for each week’s match ups.

I don’t. I do take a look at the fanball matchup coverage, which you can access through Yahoo: http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/gen?type=fantasymatchups&prov=yhoo I find this to be at least a decent place to start each week. What’s your subscriptions to? I’m guessing Football Guys. They have good stuff (I’m not a subscriber, but whenever stuff leaks out from their pay-site info, it’s all solid stuff).

FanInsites

Had the absolute best that I saw for the draft, but is slightly weak on the season stuff. Still, they have things and ideas that the free guys don’t. Was worth the money for getting me such strong performers in the first place.

We’ve all learned a very valuable lesson today - Munch’s advice ain’t worth shit.

McNair is really bummin me out. I really like the guy, and the leadership he was showing last year had me thinking nobody would be touching him this year. As a Vikings fan, I daydreamed of having the likes of McNair over Culpepper.

Just goes to show you that NurseCarmen’s opinion isn’t worth shit.

Neither McNair NOR Carr did well in Fant points. If not for my receivers and DEF having stellar days, I would have lost using either one of them. The advice was good. The actual QB’s play wasn’t.

That Minn / NO game was AMAZING!
