Yes! He’s old, he’s immobile, he’s injury prone, and he’s considered BETTER than Kyle Boller! If this is their “best” then the Steelers only have to worry about Cincy, and who knows how Carson Palmer will play coming back from that severe knee injury?
Man, I’m already excited, and it’s only June. Anyway, consider this a teaser until I post the First Annual Steelers Defend The Lombardi Trophy Thread.
Personally, I can’t wait to see the Baltimore Titans in action. Ideally, I’d like to see them play the Denver Browncos defense. Four - count 'em, FOUR teams in two!
Don’t get me wrong. I like McNair. I always have, up till now. But he’s got a lot of miles on him, he has a fragile ribcage (seemingly every year he ends up on the injured list with a ribcage injury), and he has nothing to work with. He won’t have any better luck than Boller did for the 3 games he’s able to play this year before he gets knocked out.
Some people just don’t know when to quit while they’re ahead.
Don’t forget the ever-popular “turf toe,” which seems to be a chronic complaint for McNair. I’m pretty sure they considered amputating his foot, which would have improved his mobility.
