Farewell Londope - Tir' moves over to her Twisty in April!

And i’ll be first man up for the fudge, yo.

might be a different tale about the cookies though…

I don’t actually know, different flavours I assume. And as for the cookies and rugelach, I’ll just bide my time and wait till you’re distracted sucking face with Bonzer, and then I’ll pounce…

You mean the first Busted Album? I don’t have it - i lent it to paul

you’ll get Busted, son.

On a lighter note, me and two of the other regular friday night drinking team were going to form a Busted tribute band, called Bussted, and do their songs in a drill and bass/tuba stylee. Our album cover would show that grimace inducing pic of David Busst’s leg snapping on the football pitch and be called A Present for No-one.

An asthma inhaler  I have yet to find a doctor’s surgery that will take me and doesn’t require a half-hour bus-ride.

I also got some sort of nasty chest infection at the doctor’s, and shouldn’t really come out tomorrow at all, but I really need to socialise, so all I can suggest is that no-one sits too near me, and definitely no sharing my drinks!

That’s freaking crazy! If you’ve been previously diagnosed with asthma, don’t you always have one with you and/or have a standing prescription for an inhaler? I could get a new one in about 15 minutes from the nearest pharmacy, or maybe an hour if they had to call my doc to authorize a refill.

Were you having an active attack? If so, nine hours? Criminy! I don’t know how emergency rooms work in the UK, but in the US they can’t turn you away if you have an urgent medical problem.

Well, feel better. Cookies have secret healing powers, you know.

I moved house in December, and all the doctors in my area are full up. My inhalers ran out two weeks ago and I’ve spent every night since awake during the small hours, trying to breathe, but on Sunday a friend invited us round and failed to tell us she had a cat. So Monday was a bad day. I could still go to my old doctor’s, but since they’re really pedantic about following their prescription rules - hand in the prescription request in person, come back two days later to get it in person - it’s just too far to go. I’d have to take two days off work just to get an inhaler!

Monday I id take a day off work (with no pay), and finally tracked down the walk-in centre at the Royal London Hospital, where they deal with minor injuries and problems such as mine. There I waited for six hours, with my daughter, till 9pm, at which point I had to give up and go home. There is no cafe and the water cooler was broken, so we were parched and my daughter had to get to bed. On Tuesday I only had to wait 3 more hours, though the chemist’s still hasn’t got one of my inhalers yet ::slight_smile:

Now I’ve applied through a council form for people who can’t get a doctor, and have found one, but I’m just too sick to face the 40-minute walk in the rain today!

True about the cookies  One of my lovely flatmates just ran me a hot bath and made me soup, the sweetie.

I hope you all have a great time tomorrow.
