One thing that I’m thinking about, from the link that JRD posted:
How does Deen understand himself and what he does that he can claim it is different from prostitution? First, he has sex with people for money, and that is not prostitution? Second, pretending to be in a relationship with her would be? I’ve never been with a prostitute, so maybe this is a chance to fight my ignorance: is visiting a prostitute commonly (to any degree of common) about an emotional experience as much as sexual?
And if he wasn’t being entirely sincere when he said this, what was he hoping to get out of saying it? It’s pretty easy to assume Abraham’s motivation for claiming his penis was small. She has no self-control or reasoning skills and felt threatened, so she lashed out. But if he doesn’t really think this, why would he say it?
Deen may see himself as an actor. Having sex with one of his co-stars during a performance in a movie may seem no different to him than kissing an actress. But he would have different standards over what he does when he’s off camera and in real life.
It may not be a view you or I hold but it is possible that Deen is sincere in what he said.
Apparently not. Looking at his credits at IAFD (the x-rated equivalent of IMDB) I don’t see any titles that appear to be plays on James Dean movies.
A lot of x-rated performers use a name that’s similar to a mainstream celebrity. There’s Dru Barrymore, Maria Bellucci, Mary Carey, Darryl Hanah, Ariana Jollee, Jennifer Love, Melissa Milano, Loni Sanders. As you can see they always change it a little bit. (One exception is x-rated actress Cindy Crawford. She was able to use the exact same name as model Cindy Crawford because it’s her real name.)
So I’ve even seen this thread before, and still my initial reaction to the thread title is “Who is that?” I really don’t see how her being in the video makes it worth so much more.
And, yes, she was pretty (but not hollywood pretty) before. Now she looks like the typical people I see around here. And not even the ones who wound up getting pregnant in their teens, either.
I just watched the promo clip on gawker. She looks good, but she keeps glancing at the camera. Her tits look funny from the side. But other than that, she is now just another girl working in porn.
Apparently Abraham has now decided to start a pregnancy rumor to get some publicity. Her sextape co-star, James Deen, has said: “I keep trying to stay out of the drama and let it pass, but it just seems like it’s one thing after the next. To say you’re potentially pregnant is not something to joke about. When you knowingly involve another human being and a publicity stunt around that, a child is not something to be taken lightly. It’s not a game anymore, and it’s really not cool.”
When the porn star that you made a sextape with starts raising valid objections to your moral values, it’s usually a sign you need to rethink the directions you’ve chosen in life.
