Partying at a Swiss student’s apartment while at Georgetown. The bottle hadn’t been opened at all, it was merely a decoration as far as the owner was concerned. I asked for a shot anyway and was poured one, complete with a complimentary “it’s your funeral”. It had been sitting around for a couple of years anyway; the age of the brew might have had a lot to do with the unfortunate incidents the next day.

I have to agree with Hannu.

There is nothing worse than passing gas and drawing mud.

ANother itsem that will help cut the gas of beans when making a liquid based food (like red beand and rice during the cooking stage, or soups) once you are cooking the beans, place in a tablespoon of baking soda and stir it well into the mixture. It reduces the “gassiness”.


To deal with men by force is as impractical as to deal with nature by persuasion.
