Favorite Day of the Week

Simply, right now, under whatever circumstances you find yourself, which day of the week do you like the best?

I have an assumption it’ll be heavily weighted to a particular day, and I assume most think likewise, but this is just out of idle curiosity, since this board is pretty diverse internationally.

Bobo waro fero Satodeh
Tout le monde aime samedi soir
Everybody loves Saturday night

(I voted for Friday though)

Sunday happens to be the only day that both my wife and I have off, so that’s my pick.

Monday morning feels so bad
Everybody seems to nag me
Come on Tuesday I feel better
Even my old man looks good
Wednesday just won’t go
Thursday goes too slow
I’ve got Friday on my mind

MONDAY!! come on guys lets screw with this poll

Someone’s got a case of the Saaaturdays!

Thursday.

Wednesday. My day off, after having worked four days straight. (My other day off, obviously, is Friday, but that comes after only having worked one day, so it’s not nearly as nice.)

When I worked, it was Friday because after work the entire weekend was before me, brimming with possibilities.

Now that I’m retired it’s Monday because everyone is back to work and the stores are empty.

Monday is my only day off these days, so Monday it is.

For the majority of the typical 40-hour, 5 day work week, which is pretty institutionalized all over, I was figuring Fridays would get a decent chunk, because it’s time to loosen the tie, and hit the nightlife, or relax on the couch knowing you can sleep in. But you still have to wake up on time and hit work/school. So, Fridays are #2.

And I figured, Saturday would be 2 or 3 times over Firdays, coming in at #1 by a landslide. It’s a day where you can both sleep in, stay up late, and not worry about having to get up for obligations (assuming your weekends are free).

Sunday would be third: you can sleep in, have a day off, but it’s back to work the next day, so gotta get back on schedule.

The rest of the days, most of the world is in a chain of business/school mode.

Besides, when I was growing up, Saturday meant no church, no school, morning cartoons, and just all day to play. Can’t shake that perception even though I work from home, and weekends have blurred into weekdays.

But, of course, this is only true for those who follow this ingrained schedule, which I think is shifting in a lot of ways, and of course some wild exceptions.

Caturday, because sometimes I get to sleep.

Presumably with your cats?

Looks like Tuesday is a frikkin’ bummer of a day.

Wednesday…'cause that’s when the new comic books come to the store!

I like Tuesday. It’s the one day of the week that (with the exception of driving my son to/from school), I get to spend how I want. I don’t volunteer on Tuesdays, I get my other work done on other days, so I have the day free. Also my knitting group meets on Tuesday evenings. We meet at 6pm so, my husband and son are on their own for dinner.

I knew it’d only be a matter of time before this was mentioned.

And for that matter, if I didn’t love Saturdays so much, I may have chosen Tuesday: New music release day.

Saturday. Even when I’m working non-Mon-Fri jobs, which was all the time until recently, Saturday was still the best.

Tuesdays suck far worse than Mondays.

-On Mondays, you’re still charged up from the weekend.
-Wednesdays are hump day, so 'nuf said.
-Thursdays are almost Fridays, but are my second least favorite
-Friday, duh

Tuesdays you’re stuck in the middle of all the week’s work, you’re now probably tired and lacking a little sleep, and there is nothing to look forward to. Should rename Tuesdays ‘Blearghday’.

That same logic has also crossed my mind.
