Favorite Disney movie song

Songs from Jungle Book and Little Mermaid.

Let’s see, there’s:
I Wanna Be Like You
The Bare Necessities
Colonel Hathi’s March
Part of Your World
Under the Sea
Poor Unfortunate Souls
Les Poissons!!!
Kiss the Girl
And the worst cover of Poor Unfortunate Souls ever.

Stupid Jonas Brothers. :frowning:

Am I the first to mention Be Prepared from the Lion King? One of the better villain songs of all time!

Hellfire is definitely one of my favorites. I only saw Hunchback once (and wasn’t a fan), but that song…wow. (The Russian version is pretty decent too, check it out!)

As far as Aladdin goes, I like Friend Like Me. Arabian Nights is also fun, despite the egregious cultural stereotypes.

I also like the prologue from Beauty and the Beast, which I realize isn’t really a song, but it’s pretty nonetheless.

ETA: Whoops, forgot to mention I’ll Make a Man out of You! Best workout song EVER.

I’ve noticed mine hasn’t been mentioned yet. Savages, from Pocahontas.

I was waiting for this one. And Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride from Lilo and Stitch.

And a lot of the others listed.

Me too, but we are showing our age…

Blue Shadows - Roy Rogers and The Sons of the Pioneers

And yeah, the Randy Neuman song featured in Three Amigos (here) is suspiciously similar once you get to the chorus. We’ll call it an homage.

Hmmm…instrumentals don’t count as “songs,” right?

My personal fave, but there’s so many good ones.

They’re not really in the spirit of the threat but by all means, share with us!

Once Upon a Dream
Someday My Prince Will Come

lol :d:d

Baby Mine from Dumbo makes me cry along with Feed the Birds.

Well, I’ve got two. And they barely count. They’re both from live-action films, and one of them was a licensed property.

One’s David Shire’s Return to Oz Rag March, from Return to Oz. One of the nicer and least nightmare-inducing parts of a great score and an underrated movie.

The second is Disney’s own John Barry penned fight/heroism theme from The Black Hole, “Laser”. I always loved The Black Hole; it’s like Star Wars for melancholiacs.

Alice Blue Bonnet

Topsy Turvy from The Hunchback of Notre Dame

Let’s Go Fly a Kite from Mary Poppins

Be Our Guest from Beauty and the Beast

Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah from The Song of the South

Prince Ali from Aladdin

When You Wish Upon a Star from Pinocchio

Perfect World from the only Disney animated movie worth watching - the Emperor’s New Groove, but only because Kronk’s theme music doesn’t have lyrics.

It’s a song that has Tom Jones as an animated lounge singer named “Theme Song Guy” and a rhyme for “mesoamerican history”.

If covers counted, I’d include Souxie and the Banshees’ take on Trust in Me from the Jungle Book, but they don’t so I won’t.

The actors and script are great, but the animation was bettered by the TV version.

Oh my God…I remember that one! I haven’t seen it in—it must be twenty years!

“Bittersweet and strange
Finding you can change
Learning you were wrong”

‘Beauty And The Beast’, without a doubt.

I don’t know if “The Brave Little Toaster” counts as a Disney movie. But, if it does, then I want to mention the song “WORTHLESS”.

Surprisingly dark and deep for a “kiddie” movie, I have always thought.
