Favorite Disney/Pixar Supporting Character

This can be from movies or TV. I like Horatio Thelonius Ignatius Crustaceous Sebastian from The Little Mermaid. It’s awesome when his jaw drops “Clank” when he sees Ariel with Prince Eric on the beach for the first time.

I also like Carpet from Aladdin, even though it’s not a speaking part.

Kronk from Emperor’s New Groove

Edna Mode.

I suppose this thread was inevitable.

I’ll say Olaf from Frozen. He’s a riot, but he’s more than just comic relief, he has real heart. (But not a skull. Or bones.)

Honorable mentions: Pascal the chameleon, from Tangled, and Rhino the hamster, from Bolt.

Since Edna Mode has been taken, I’ll go with Kari, the babysitter.
“The baby was exploding! Did you ever sit an exploding baby, Mr. Dicker?” (From Jack-Jack Attack)

Jeremy from The Secret of Nimh.

Secret of NIMH isn’t Disney, it’s Don Bluth. (His first movie after leaving Disney, IIRC.)

Anyway…Olaf is great. Lumier and Cogsworth from Beauty and the Beast were a fun pair, as were Timon and Pumbaa from The Lion King.

For supporting ANTAGONISTS, I like Sir Hiss from Robin Hood.

Rex from Toy Story, MO from WALL-E (The FOREIGN CONTAMINANT! robot) and Dug from Up.

Sven from Frozen. Reindeers are better than people…

I’ll go with the Sterling Holloway-voiced Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland. Lewis Carroll (rather than the Disney people) deserves most of the credit for the words, of course–but the sly underplaying in the Disney version is all Holloway.

Currently Maximus - Horse character in Tangled another non speaking part but his expressions say it all.

I’m gonna stick with Timon And Pumbaa because they managed to have a fantastic cartoon show as well as add a lot to the movies they were in.

Almost all of the sidekicks have been fantastic though. Except the Gargoyles. Blugh.

Edna Mode is dad bomb.

The puking reindeer on Prep and Landing.

I’m going with Genie from Aladdin. Fun and otherworldly, yes, but he also had some terrific educational “historical trivia” shorts on television (Prime time ABC network, IIRC).

So did Timon & Pumbaa; that’s where I learned about the photic sneeze reflex, and that I was in a minority of people who has it.

Has Disney reissued any of these shorts? They’d pair great with Donald Duck in Mathmagic Land and Scrooge McDuck and Money.

The Seven Dwarves.

I love Jessie (Toy Story 2 & 3) with an all-consuming passion. :o

V.I.N.CENT.

“Squeaky, uh, squeak squeaker… squeaken?”

Kronk is perfect.

“No CAPES!”
