This can be from movies or TV. I like Horatio Thelonius Ignatius Crustaceous Sebastian from The Little Mermaid. It’s awesome when his jaw drops “Clank” when he sees Ariel with Prince Eric on the beach for the first time.
I also like Carpet from Aladdin, even though it’s not a speaking part.
Since Edna Mode has been taken, I’ll go with Kari, the babysitter.
“The baby was exploding! Did you ever sit an exploding baby, Mr. Dicker?” (From Jack-Jack Attack)
I’ll go with the Sterling Holloway-voiced Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland. Lewis Carroll (rather than the Disney people) deserves most of the credit for the words, of course–but the sly underplaying in the Disney version is all Holloway.
I’m going with Genie from Aladdin. Fun and otherworldly, yes, but he also had some terrific educational “historical trivia” shorts on television (Prime time ABC network, IIRC).
So did Timon & Pumbaa; that’s where I learned about the photic sneeze reflex, and that I was in a minority of people who has it.
Has Disney reissued any of these shorts? They’d pair great with Donald Duck in Mathmagic Land and Scrooge McDuck and Money.
