Favorite Fictional Foods?

The thought crossed my mind while watching the commercial for Fruity Oaty Bars (which Serenity fans will recognize as the video that makes River Tam go and balletically kick the daylights out of a whole bunch of people in a bar) that they’re now my favorite fictional movie food, replacing South Park’s Cheesy Poofs.

I recall there’s also a bunch of interesting foods in the Harry Potter series, but I’m not sure I’d want to take my chances on some of them.

So what are your favorite fictional foods?

I always wanted to try Sugar-Crusted Xox from the old Ren and Stimpy show.

Brevari and breen from Babylon 5.

Well, lembas is an obvious one.

In one of the Caves of Steel and Robots of Dawn books, there is a kind shortbread/pancake thing filled with syrup that you eat naked because it is so messy. I wanted to try that since I read about it.

I’ve always wanted to curl up with a good book and a nice, big, steaming mug of klah from the Pern books.

Crabby Patties!

Okay, you’ve got your Chocolate Frosted Sugar Bombs cereal from Calvin & Hobbes. It’ll prime you for a full day’s television watching.

There’s your Snicker Snax cereal from Peanuts. It does not stay crunchy in milk for very long, at all.

Then, of course, we have the canned Food from Repo Man. It gets you ready to face the aliens.

Feelin’ lucky seven, feelin’ Seven Up!

Nozz-a-La Cola from the Stephen King universe sounds pretty good.

The pasty crap in the TV trays in 2001: A Space Odyssey looked unnecessary.

The Boomfood in HG Wells’ Twilight of the Gods would have some uses, though.

But I’d be happy with a Krusty Burger.

Also, spoo and fried tubeworms, from Babylon 5.

The many varieties of gagh.

Khav Khalash and Crab Juice.

I don’t think I’d like Tasty Wheat very much (I hear it tastes like chicken.)

However my fridge would be stocked with Duff Beer and Soder Cola.

Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster.
Shmoo.
Braised trake, buttered ermal, and funistrada.
Knichi. (Not entirely fictional.)
Fin-Ray Cola, the only tuna-flavored drink.
And our sponsor, Munchie Crunchies.

Munchie Crunchies are the best
Look delicious on your vest
Serve them to unwanted guests
Stuff the mattress with the rest

Big Kahuna Burger, eh? That’s that Hawaiian burger joint! Well, my girlfriend’s a vegetarian, which pretty much means I’m a vegetarian too. But I sure do love a good burger. May I have a bite of your TASTY burger?

Also from South Park, I always thought Chef’s recipe for Chocolate Salty Balls sounded good. How can you go wrong with butter, sugar, chocolate and just a touch of vanilla?

Slurm. It’s addictive!

Also, spice candy from the Dune books.

Oh, how could I forget Slurm? It’s highly addictive! Just don’t ask where it comes from.

Then there’s Weenie Tots (with more beaks and claws)

And Weenie Burgers!
Weenie Burgers are lots of fun to eat!
If you look real hard, you might even find the meat!

What about Powdered Toast?

Darn you Doug I am too late, but I will second the Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster and add some Romulan Brandy as a chaser.
