Favorite Hollywood "Love Themes"?

Sometimes, I feel like letting my sappy, sentimental side out for awhile. This is one of those times.

So anyway, I was just wondering…what’s YOUR favorite “love theme” from a Hollywood soundtrack?

And remember, this is movie soundtracks only. It doesn’t have to be an instrumental piece from the original score—though that certainly helps—but it has to have been used as the official “love theme” in the movie/soundtrack.

My top picks, at the moment…

“Rachel’s Song” from the Blade Runner soundtrack.
“Take my Breath Away” by Berlin, from Top Gun
“Across the Stars” by John Williams, from Star Wars—Attack of the Clones

Anyone else have any favorites?

“Ilia’s Theme” by Jerry Goldsmith, from ST:TMP.

What, nothin’ else? Jeez, I’m slipping…

The “love theme” from Terminator (when Sarah Conner and Kyle Reece are doing it in the motel).

The whole damn soundtrack to Now, Voyager.

If by hollywood you mean movies in general, the best theme ever is Helena’s Love Theme from the italian movie “Cinema Paradiso”, do yourself a favour and download it, afterwards you’ll buy the complete soundtrack (which is simply magnificent) and you’ll see the movie (my favourite one).-
Not only is the theme great but the scene were it is played is just perfect. Everytime I see it I wish I were so deeply in love.-

“Love Theme from Mystery Science Theater 3000” - the instrumental that plays over the end credits.

Ghost is a secondrate ghost story without the soundtrack featuring Unchained Melody

I like the love theme from Raiders of the Lost Ark. More Williams, I know, but it’s good old-fashioned stuff. I’ll also second the Attack of the Clones love theme, Across the Stars - very well done, though the title is terrible.

The love theme from Edward Scissorhands is terrific too. Can’t remember the name of it off the top of my head.

I’m gonna second “Across the Stars” and add “Han and Leia’s Theme” from The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

What about “Lara’s Theme” from Doctor Zhivago? (Yeah, it’s incredibly sappy, but I love it)

The theme from First Knight.
