Talenti salted caramel gelato.
Real strawberry ice cream, made with lots of fresh strawberries.

There’s no question that Breyers isn’t what it used to be. I would have to have the old versions which were real ice cream.
Chocolate is my go-to flavor if I’m at a restaurant, but butter pecan is my favorite. I admit, I am a bit surprised (and pleased) how many other fans there are.
Coffee Heath Bar
Peanut Butter Cup
Chocolate-Peanut Butter. mmmm…
And I’ll tell you what’s NOT my favorite ice-cream flavor, not by a long shot, and that’s durian, which you can occasionally find here.
My favorite was Baskin-Robbins Mandarin Chocolate Sherbet, which they haven’t made in years: intense dark chocolate sherbet with a hint of orange.
For a favorite, Stewarts (in upstate NY) has Chocolate Trifecta – Dark, milk, and light chocolate ice cream.
Perry’s (based near Buffalo), has some great stuff, too; I’m partial to their Rocky Mountain Raspberry – white chocolate ice cream with almond raspberry fudge chunks and raspberry swirled in.
For novelties, I go with my youth and the Good Humor Chocolate eclair.
Vanilla mostly (yeah boring I know). If I want to be less boring, either coffee or cookie dough.
My favorite Ben & Jerrys flavors are Americone Dream which is vanilla with Caramel and chocolate covered cone pieces and one that I think is retired called Late Night Snack which was chocolate and caramel with chocolate covered potato chip clusters.
In my area ( southeastern PA ) the Walmart’s have a "cotton candy " flavor which is really good.
We have a brand called Turkey hill that has limited time flavors that I am a sucker for if they sound good.
They had one called “pineapple upside down cake” that was really good and I wish they made it all the time.
My favorite was Blue Bell Key Lime Pie ice cream.
Holy shit, that’s the truth! I bought what I thought was cherry vanilla ice cream, and got…well, I could taste the additives. It was disgusting.
So now I make my own vanilla ice cream and add my own cherries. Or I just buy vanilla bean ice cream and put frozen cherries on top.
Cherry vanilla is my other favorite!
From Ben & Jerry’s: Cherry Garcia and Phish Food.
I also love orange sherbet. That’s one of the first things I remember eating.
The best ice cream I ever had was a limited release by Dreyers of Apple Pie flavored(!) ice cream. Not only was it an excellent simulation of pie flavoring, but they had actual tiny pieces of pie in the ice cream. Unfortunately, I must have been the only person who liked it because I haven’t seen a trace of it for years.
Of the regularly available flavors, either chocolate chip mint or spumoni.
Cooks ‘n’ cream or Oreo flavor would be at a distant top.
Forgot one. Ben & Jerry’s Vanilla Honey Caramel Greek Yogurt. Can’t find it around here anymore. I’ve asked the local shop to please start carrying it.
Definitely vanilla. If I’m feeling I want a change of pace, then butter pecan. Or something with caramel.
Got no ice cream in the house at the moment.
Got a bum hip, so I can’t drive for a few weeks.
Daughter is working tonight and tomorrow night.
Going to hit Farrell’s for dessert on Tuesday.
Philadelphia style vanilla. White with visible bean flecks. The way Breyers used to be before they befouled it with guar gum. The way I make it myself now.
We buy rainbow sherbet. Orange is my favorite but I like all the flavors in the rainbow.
Baskin Robbins used to have blueberry cheesecake ice cream that was fantastic. I see strawberry cheesecake sometimes in the store, but that’s not what I want!
Pistachio almond.
Mint Chocolate chip.
Chocolate.
Vanilla.
