SpongeBob bids farewell to a group of happy jellyfish in “The Sponge Who Could Fly:”
“Thanks, jellyfish. You taught me an important lesson…although I’m not exactly sure what it is.”
Disguised as Mr. Krabs, Plankton discovers part of the bizarre ritual to keep the Krabby Patty formula a secret in “Imitation Krabs:”
“These spaghetti and meatballs are delicious. Belch.” (The way he says “Belch” rather than actually belching always gets me.)
The first Fairly Oddparents short with Yugopotamian Mark Chang, “Spaced Out” features a funny running gag involving Cosmo:
Wanda: “We have good news and bad news. The Yugopotamians are going to destroy earth! (or something to that effect)”
Timmy: “What’s the good news?”
Cosmo: “I found a nickel!”
Wanda: “We have good news and bad news…”
Cosmo (interrupting): “I named my nickel Philip!”
Timmy: “What’s the bad news?”
Cosmo: “It’s a girl nickel!”
(Actually, practically every episode of The Fairly Oddparents has a running gag, and they’re all pretty funny.)
From the John K. klassic “Space Madness,” possibly one of the best Ren and Stimpy shorts ever: the whole thing about the History Eraser Button. I wish I knew the exact wording, this whole thing about the “ability to end life as we know it with the single push of a button! The beautiful, shiny button! The jolly, candylike button. Will he hold out, folks? Can he hold out?” “NO I CAN’T!”
