Favorite snack foods/fast foods/drinks/any kind of foods that they do not make any more...

I liked Crystal Pepsi, too.

Stuff I miss that either isn’t available or not in my area:
DooDads
Swiss Cheese crackers
Hardee’s roast beef
Apple powdered drink mix (like KoolAid, but I think it was Wyler’s?)
Gatorade Cucumber Lime (was just in the store a few months ago and now it’s not - maybe it will be a seasonal flavor?)

Along the same lines as Swiss Cheese crackers, I loved Twigs made by Nabisco too. Gatorade made a great flavor called Citrus Cooler too. Also, did you ever have Rax Roast Beef? I agree with you about Hardees, they did have good Roast Beef.

Citrus Cooler is my all time favorite! I haven’t had it since this past summer; I hope they haven’t discontinued it. We don’t have Rax Roast Beef here (Georgia), but if I’m in the vicinity of one I’ll give it a try.

Adding to my previous list: there used to be a cookie that was like a Mallomar or Pinwheel (cookie + marshmallow, covered in chocolate), except it was covered in white chocolate/almond bark and it had chopped peanuts on the top. I don’t know if it was store brand or what (Foodmax in Alabama had them in the early 90s); I can’t even find any trace of them on the internet :frowning:

According to their website they still make both the cucumber lime and Citrus Cooler.

I don’t know if Wyler’s also made one, but in the early 80s KoolAid definitely made an apple flavor. I loved that stuff. It was the best flavor of KoolAid for making homemade popsicles, IMO.

ETA: Proof! (ish) Apple Kool-Aid | Very rare. Much sought after by Kool-Aid en… | Flickr

Yeah! What the heck! I loved Danish-Go-Rounds. And you’re right, they were much better than Pop-Tarts.

They still make it; it’s just not on the menu anymore. You have to ask for it.

Ben & Jerry’s Cool Brittania. Vanilla ice cream with strawberries and chunks of chocolate covered shortbread.

On the other hand they better bring back the Cannoli flavor they had earlier this year. That was also delicious.

Dannys. This was a confection by Dannon, frozen yogurt on a stick, coated with I think a carob coating in lieu of chocolate.

Those were so good! I miss them.

I really miss Mentals. I guess they still make ’ em but damned if I can find ’ em anywhere. Used to love offering these to folks. “Here, have a Mental

I loved them. Every once in a while I buy a box of Kudo’s hoping to find the ones I had as a kid.

I miss Peanut Butter Twix. The ones in the yellow wrapper and regular Twix wafer. Biting into PB twix is like biting into disappointment know it’ll never be the same again.

I also miss Prince Spaghetti. They sold out to another company I think the brands still around but the low price point and high quality isn’t.

Jolt Cola when it came out was a Cola sold in glass bottles and had a slogan like ‘All the sugar and twice the caffeine’ I certainly liked it then. It slowly evolved into something else. I remember seeing it in a store after not seeing it for a while but there were only flavored drinks with no Cola option. Overall though this one can remain in the past, if I found it today my older self would not like it as much as my younger self did.

Anyone remember Josta? It was sort of an energy cola made by Pepsi in the 90s, had a unique flavor. Probably would have done well now that energy drinks are as popular as they are.

Also Sobe had a soda called Mr. Green which was a Dr. Pepper like soda but much much better.

Entenmann’s fudge-iced, cream-filled cupcakes. By far # 1 on a list of foods I’d revive if I had the power.

Entenmann’s chocolate frosted crullers.

Mocha-flavored Nestle Crunch.

Costco bakery Coffee Cake muffins.

What happened to that weird soft drink-made in Canada? It had little balls of a snot-like substance floating in it.

Orbitz!

Literally! The Sunshine Baking Co. Hydrox was the innovator and the Oreo was released by the National Biscuit Company as a cheap, knock-off side brand 3 or 4 years later.

Speaking of which, I have not seen Clearly Canadian for a while. I miss the wild cherry flavor.

On a side note: Who the heck names their cookies Hydrox? Hydrox sounds like something I should be cleaning my bathroom sink with; not something I should be ingesting.

Bottle Caps:smack: Thanks! I don’t even remember if I liked them or not, I just remember the novelty.
