Just to satisfy my curiosity…what are your favorite Doper user names and why?
Personally, I like Ferret Herder, because it makes me think of someone quite literally herding ferrets like sheep, up on a huge, green hill. It’s a fun image.
Also, My Darn Snake Legs, but I’m not quite sure why. I think I just like the way it sounds.
I like the Invader ZIM ones; the OP’s, Filthy Beast of Meat and Hair, Irken Doom (is he still around?).
I like Enginerd, just because I wish I’d thought of it first.
I rather liked tamaraqueenofgoths. But badbadrubberpiggy isn’t bad… might have to get ahold of the Invader Zim DVDs.

One of those that’s humorous enough to stick in my head.
You came up with a far more calming image than the one I had. There’s a saying about the futility of herding cats - well, add hyperactive no-attention-span ferrets instead, and presto! Chaos.
There are a ton of user names that I like (including Mangetout’s oft-suggested and now IIRC taken offering of Atomic Badger Racing), but the usual one that comes to mind in a thread like this is vivalostwages. Amuses the heck out of me.
The last couple of times this came up, I had the same two votes:

Good times! I like that people like my user name. I remember a particular Doper that I met at a Dopefest who kept introducing me as “Snake Thingy.” :smack:
YES. I think of the same thing, ferrets being herded, and then all of a sudden one bites another, and he bites another, and he bites the herder, and suddenly there’s CHAOS and a million ferrets running every direction.
My one experience with a ferret resulted in him biting my foot. Does it show?
I LOVE Tentacle Monster, because from what I can tell, he’s NOTHING like the tentacled monsters in those films (not that I’ve ever watched one. Uh-uh. Not me.) He seems to be cuddly and sweet.
Well. I love his name. I don’t know if I actually love him. No offense or anything, TM…I just don’t know you well enough!
Why does my name never show up on these lists? 
Don’t worry, I’m lucky if mine appears once, and it’s usually because it reminds the nominator of singing lobsters.
Actually, I get the references for both BrotherCadfael and Lobsang. Toss in Coldfire and Czarcasm, and you have my list of favorite poster names!
