Favourite 'Naked Gun' style movies?

Yes, I am serious, and don’t call me Shirley.

Anyway, now that’s out of the way, apart from the classic Airplane and Naked Gun movies what other examples in the genre would you recommend?

Hot Shots part one and deux are similar comedy genius and I also liked ‘Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood’, I almost hurt myself laughing at this scene (careful, some foul language)

Its pretty subjective, I leant 'Don't Be a Menace' to a friend and he gave it back saying he didn't find it funny in the least *(I also think he doubted my sanity for recommending it)*

So any other recommendations?

Holy shit, sorry! Twice in one evening! :smack:

Sorry, I’ve had a long day, please move this to the appropriate forum, while I go and have a good nights sleep.

No longer in Elections.

Kentucky Fried Movie.
Amazon Women on the Moon.

Top Secret

Avoid “Movie 43” at all costs.

Loaded Weapon was cool because Samuel L Jackson.

Rustler’s Rhapsody has moments that approach perfection.

Was it Rustler’s Rhapsody, or The Three Amigos, where the horses sing along the bass line – bum, da dum, ba bum, da dum – to the cowboy singing? Love that scene!

“That’s good root!”

Love Rustler’s Rhapsody!

Three Amigos.

Yup.

“You’re Black” was pretty good.

Rat Race!

John Cleese sends a dozen brilliant comedians on a Jerry Zucker-directed race… oh, and half of them are Oscar winners (watch Kathy Bates try to sell Whoopie Goldberg a squirrel!).

Here’s the trailer – but the movie’s better…

And I forgot about the little girl getting her wish and going to the Barbie Museum (click here for the punch line)!

And Rowan Atkinson is perfect, and Cuba Gooding, Jr., and… oh, just watch it.

Police Squad! was amazing.

Always loved that one, and it’s a genuine Zucker-Abrahams-Zucker unlike Airplane II, but it never seemed to get its share of acclaim.

[speaking Swedish] Puy.

I know a little German.

I gotta go with Hot Shots Part Deux

It’s also the only non Star Trek film to feature William Shatner and James Doohan.
