Mark Cuban and others are saying Hillary wanted long emails printed. Huma used a laptop she shared with her husband. Read the forwarded email and printed.

I do the same thing. I’ve never been able to absorb information from a long pdf or email. I always print if I need to study the information.

If Mark is correct, then that would explain the emails on the laptop. Huma didn’t remember they were on it.

BREAKING: Hillary has an email problem.
Ya know, there’s a decent chance this is already baked in to people’s minds. Today, like yesterday, this race is between the qualified woman with a history of email problems VS. a wholly-unqualified man with a history of misogyny, race-baiting, sexual assault and shady business practices. Those that were against her will be like “See?! See?!” and those that are for her will be like “Nothing to see here” and the increasingly-shrinking populous on the fence very well may jump to Trump’s side. But it’s possible that at this point those people don’t matter as much as they think they do.

It does change the media narrative for a while, which is why the Trump campaign and Republicans have been so giddy. But for better or worse, the narrative is largely driven by eyeballs and clicks, so the question is whether this topic is baked-in so much that people just aren’t interested enough to truly take the focus off Trump’s heinousness between now and Election Day.

QFT. Cue Eff Tee. This story is old news by now and I doubt there’s a single undecided voter out there who would have voted Hillary except ermagerd more email scandal! It’s all the same scandal, it can’t happen again and no one really cares.

The potential for classified information to have been compromised is a silly thing to fixate on. Were pilots retroactively punished post 9-11 for the times they flew with the cockpit door wide open? Because there could have been a hijacking! Dear God, there could have been thousands of hijackings! So let’s hassle pilots about it until the end of time… or let’s shut the friggin’ doors instead.

It would be a uuuuuuuuge mistake for the FBI to release more info since there is no way they are going to be able to a decent analysis before the election. There are thousands of e-mails to look at and Comey is going to need to be extra cautious about releasing something that is incorrect.

I don’t think the problem is so much that some HRC supporters will switch to Trump, but that this feeds into the anti-enthusiasm problem and folks just decide to opt out. Low voter turn-out favors Trump. With a 5+ point lead, HRC has a lot of margin. This is probably more of an issue for down ballot folks.

It points out how there are fewer undecideds left, and how this may mean that there is less of a problem. The one thing they do mention is the idea that it might get some Trump supporters riled up and increase their turnout.

Also, reading it, it does seem to me that a lot of these other headlines were unfair. The attitude here does not at all match the attitude in the comments there.

Oh, and apparently there are only 3 problematic emails out of the thousands.

The other answer is hinted at by the following factoid I just happened to hear on the news: if Trump is elected and implements even a fraction of the trade policies he’s talking about, estimates are that it will cost Canada some 700,000 jobs, and given the bilateral benefits of NAFTA, the impacts will probably be equally bilateral, or worse.

We will do fine under Trump. Those same 700 k jobs your talking about are just under as much risk from the TPP and carbon tax, and those that are under risk to move to Mexico and points further south. I expect that we will do just as well under Hillary.

The idea that Comey had the option of not informing Congress is absurd.

1. As bad as it is to be announcing the investigation 11 days prior to the election, it would be worse to hold off until after it. You want to imagine the shitshow that would come of announcing in December that there was a second, secret investigation? What if it leads to charges?

2. More practically, there was no way this wouldn’t leak out prior to the election. Either Comey tells Congress today, or sources in the FBI would be telling the media next week, and it would look like he was covering up for her (which he pretty much would be). If anything, he did Hillary a favor by getting it out officially and ASAP.
   The rational criticism of Comey would be to wonder why the prior investigation was leaving stones unturned: i.e. why didn’t they search Abedin’s computer six months ago?

Trump has already declared her 100% guilty of high crimes, misdemeanors, treason, treachery and skulduggery. The facts as we know them do not support any level of certainty. Therein lies the potential problem: Il Douche does not deal well with contradiction.

Speaker Ryan has made the jump with him, by demanding that classified briefings be withheld from her, regardless of any potential Presidential status. Thereby declaring her guilty, just as Trump did. Trump expects the FBI to bear him out, and he expects Congressional Republicans to line up behind him, lockstep.

But Comey’s letter is not even really an indictment, much less a verdict. And anybody who can read will know that. If Comey really is the paragon of integrity that his legend says, he will be compelled to point this out. (If he is a partisan whore, he faces no such dilemma.)

Trump demands condemnation, Clinton demands clarification, and he’s gonna have to say something. He just repeats what he has already said, he will be sticking his thumb in Trump’s eye. Of course, Trump may just graciously accept this rebuke, and move on.
