I posted my cites for believing that this doesn’t relate to Clinton’s servers and that these emails were not originally withheld from the earlier investigation. Maybe my cites will be proved wrong in time, but for now, those Twitter posts are still up.
No, that example’s no good. Comey is claiming that he doesn’t know if the new info will be significant or not. Your example is something that would obviously be significant.
Ditto if this was an email that came from Hillary’s server, containing classified info, that was originally withheld. An email which contained actual example of Hillary acting in a way that contradicts Comey’s original assessment would be obviously significant.
Whatever this is, Comey is claiming that he doesn’t know if it’s important for his previous investigation - he just for some reason wants to sing it from the mountain right damn now, before he’s even thought about it.
Nice googling but what the heck do you think I wanted for myself and then adopted a negative attitude towards when I couldn’t? And “Having my way with this item”? I don’t even know what your talking about.
This item is where I do think a speculation is needed, based on many shenanigans of the past I do think that some Republicans did found about the issue with Weiner and demanded the letter that we got and then like in football they did catch the ball without looking and ran with it ignoring that it was deflated.
Are your quote marks meant to indicate that at some point I said something to the effect of “just the BBC”? Regardless, “sour grapes” still doesn’t make sense. Refusing to admit I’m wrong is simply not wanting something for myself. Just give it up already. Choose a new biting idiom to zing me with.
Ok, you were wrong: no need to make colorful idioms.

Besides being a fast edit the original post of yours did imply that I did not quote or that I was not pointing at CBS too when I was talking about media outfits not swallowing the Republican spin, your “voting public” was added by you later, and was still wrong as you made it sound as if all voters will just accept the Republican spin only.
As I pointed, the email issue is not going to affect much the Clinton voters that already were subjected to this issue when Clinton had it worse, for sure many Republicans will swallow the trash.
GIGObuster, we don’t know which of us is wrong. My point all along is that the general population is going to think this is a re-opening of the investigation. You point out that’s not technically true and I kind of assume you think the general population will agree and that technical difference makes a real difference. We’ll see over the next week who is right.
Of course, they also do point at the ones supporting Comey, but there is not much clarification coming from him, others did report to Politico that maybe Comey did find something but I think it is not likely as that letter to congress would be different.
So besides this maybe pointing at something serious, we do not know who could be blamed here, it could also be not important at all, but also that there could be another mundane reason for the announcement, that the announcement was referring to the danger they saw of losing information that in the end could be mundane but that is not known yet as Comey himself reported.
One item it makes me think that this is not a big deal is that Clinton has demanded this info to be released now, surprising Pence when he noticed that they are asking the same from Comey.
Of course Pence and Trump are saying the same too, and they should know that too. I do think that this underlines why what Comey did was not proper IMO.
I can sorta buy Comey’s line about being obligated to report developments to Congress. Is there anything in his mandate that demands immediacy? Is Ms Clinton a flight risk, she might catch a rumor and bolt for North Korea? Is there a time bomb somewhere, ticking ever closer to zero? Did Comey have some info he hasn’t shared that compel such a timeline?
If he had determined that, in light of his experience and insight, that it was very unlikely that these new e-mails were really pertinent, perhaps he should have stuffed a cork in it. But would that have worked, this is political golden dynamite for the Pubbies, how could he possibly ensure it wouldn’t leak to anxious and hungry ears?
Or it could be just another example of the Lord of Darkness playing a bit of rat-fuck on behalf of his favorite political party. No, not Putin, the original Lord of Darkness,
