I think you’re wrong. It has quite a lot to do with FOIA requests. Hillary Clinton email controversy - Wikipedia
Note what they were investigating Trump for, though - donating to a Democrat’s campaign!
If you look at the political investigations, it heavily is weighed towards the Left side of the aisle.
Am I missing something here? So, now, the FBI is doing everything that they are being accused of doing with the email thing, but without even the thinnest vineer of justification this time for actually doing it?
Not so sure. They may just be dumping pretty much anything at hand. You read down the list wherein you find “Nicola Tesla” (da fuq?) and so forth, they are all dated yesterday, then there’s a big gap going back to Oct. 2015.
I’m always pleased when I can examine something quickly and with certainty. I’m sure that I have no fucking clue what’s going on here…
So you’re saying the election is “rigged”?
I’m having a hard time seeing it as a coincidence that this dump starts just before an election. I mean, I have no damn clue what the hell is going on either, but it’s definitely weird.
If I were to look for a nefarious motive, my first thought would be hiding an obscure but potentially damaging detail in a massive avalanche of other details. But no clue, here. I mean, Tesla? Huh?
No, I said that the FBI, or elements within, are trying to sway the election. Bless your heart: we know that reading is hard, but do try to keep up!
It’s the fuckin’ coils. Driving everybody crazy this election, I tell ya!
“I know what’ll really fuck 'em up!”
“What?”
“Remember that 1938 investigation we had on Tesla?”
“Who?”
“Never mind. Just put the damn Tesla investigation on the release list.”
Not likely, JohnT is from Texas, and we eschew exaggeration. Quiet modesty is our preferred mode.
Well, 2016 IS divisible by 3.
It’s funny how much Comey was praised by the Hillary supporters when he told the AG not to prosecute yet now he’s trying to sway the election. It’s almost as if they care more about their candidate than they do with justice.
This one was.
It’s almost as if people could have two different views about two completely different events.
It’s funny how only eleventy billion people have said this in the FOUR DAYS since it happened.
I had a quite good opinion of Comey, apparently an opinion shared by the President. I liked how he stood up to Bush/Cheney. I thought maybe, at long last! an honest conservative. I kept that opinion for a while after the report on Hillary. But then I started to think on it, wondering why he thought he was authorized to editorialize on his opinion. Thinking that maybe because the facts would not give the Republican what they wanted, maybe he was trying to give them the next best thing.
He wasn’t tasked to determine reckless or careless. He was tasked to determine legal or illegal, prosecutable or no. He took on the role of scold on his own, that was his idea. Still, willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, partly because I have been waiting so long to finally see an honest and impartial conservative.
I didn’t change my mind, he changed it for me.
This just in: Comey has announced that the FBI is going to open an investigation into Bill Clinton’s sex life. And any emails he may have ever sent or received.
No, not really, but I would not be surprised at this point.
Actually, I found Comey’s little speech last July to be unnecessary. He could have just told his boss that Ms Clinton should not be prosecuted. Instead, he gave a speech explaining that she had been a *very *bad girl.
The whole FBI is looking worse & worse, with its obvious political infighting & inability to conduct investigations confidentially. Aren’t there more serious matters threatening the republic?
Comey’s testimony to Congress last July was necessary because the AG got caught meeting with Billy boy on a airline runway. I’m sure they had a wonderful talk about the weather. Making it awkward for the AG or her underlings to absolve Hillary. I strongly suspect Comey got pressured into testifying.
That backfired when Comey realized last Thursday that a new laptop full of emails was waiting to be investigated. That laptop couldn’t be ignored. He wasn’t going to be part of a cover up and hide that from the Congress or the public.
Even Obama has Comey’s back.
