If it turns out to be Anthony Weiner’s dick pics, I may die of the giggling fits.
That’s certainly not classified by now. Everyone’s seen it.
Where’s [REDACTED] when you need it?
Cold weather is coming.
Is this a bad time for Huma to ask Hillary about her Christmas bonus?
Richard Parker - Having now looked over the Newsweek piece - I have to say I find it lacking in citations, too. Here’s a quote from the piece -
There’s nothing about that says he has to amend his testimony today. The Newsweek article doesn’t provide any legal reason why Comey couldn’t wait to amend his testimony until he knew if there was anything significant.
The Newsweek article even discusses some of the political reasons why Comey wanted this to come out now:
The Newsweek article goes on to then detail all the ways that Republicans are trying to spin this gold:
Comey’s letter is nothing but Republicans looking out for other Republicans. If there’s a legal figleaf here, no one has yet provided it.
This shit better turn out to be NOTHING. I’m getting so sick of the constant investigations. I should be celebrating the likely election of another Democratic administration, and the first woman President, but instead, it’s always- oh hell, what now? I realize that when Hillary wins it will only be the start of 4 more years of Congressional childish roadblocks, and not the end of anything, and I certainly blame Congressional Republicans for that, but this shit is getting OLD. This had better turn out to be nothing, is what I am trying to say.
Hopefully you’ve figured out by now that the thing you think I’m asserting (that this is indeed a legal obligation) is not what I’ve been asserting (which is that some people are saying that). The Newsweek article substantiates my claim, and then some, but does not provide very good evidence that the underlying claim is true.
As I said before, I expect we’ll see more reporting on that issue.
Where you again just insist on changing the subject from my point. The letter says in plain English that the FBI will investigate new materials related to the ‘the investigation’ which the first paragraph makes clear means ‘of Clinton’s email server’.
You just keep speculating it won’t change the final outcome: no recommendation for prosecution. Now your gambit is to repeat that speculation by saying I’m speculating, which I am simply not.
This is a ‘reopening’ (plain English, unless someone can give a specific FBI technical definition of ‘reopening’ which it doesn’t fit, as I believe another poster asked for but it hasn’t appeared) of the FBI investigation into Clinton’s email server. Your speculation that it leads to nothing important might be correct.
Here’s a moral figleaf: Under oath, he said they had looked at everything and found no crime. New stuff comes on his desk, so he now knows he didn’t actually look at everything. Sitting on that info until after the election can only be seen as a political maneuver.
Nope, that is speculation. And even more so when the AP reports were the emails were found, so far the target that is showing up is Weiner.
It is not speculation when in reality no matter how much you spin it, the reality is that the letter from Comey does not pont to any differences regarding what Clinton did, hence the educated opinion that this so far points to just more of the same and just about the same result to be expected.
Then shouldn’t the Secretary of State of the fucking U.S. of A. have been using a secure classified email system?
Why are you asking? Everyone, including her, say that was wrong.
Oh my god, you’ve blown my mind! How could I have ever thought differently?
You realize that most users in this scenario would have 2 systems - 1 for public, 1 for classified - they do this to isolate/insulate/protect the classified system.
So - as SoS - she combined her public system for both personal and SoS (public side) mails - this has ZERO to do with the ‘classified’ system she would have also had usage of.
To my recollection - there has been very few - if any - emails on the public side that contained classified info - and those they did find were either improperly marked or were deemed to be classified ‘after the fact’ as would happen. Even of those found - none originated with Clinton.
One of the many dumb aspects of our classification system is that “everybody knows” still doesn’t stop something from being classified. You still aren’t supposed to talk about it outside of the classified process.
They are going to be disappointed in 2020, after the 27th investigation of Hillary’s emails. Because that is going to be the sole focus of the House going forward. I think they have beaten Benghazi to death.
This is really weird spin. Comey’s letter doesn’t say one way or the other whether it’s more of the same or some new mistake. Your last line seems to be inspired by nothing but hope.
And experience.
I would never have thought in a million years that our October surprises would be p***y and Weiner.
