Clearly there have been questions about his mental faculties for a while now.
Trump has even acknowledged that there were questions, and he took a cognitive test to “shut people up” about them.
Trump said that a year ago he asked former White House physician Ronny Jackson whether there was “some kind of cognitive test” he could take, he said, “Because I’ve been hearing about it. Because I want to shut these people up. They’re fake news. They’re making up stories.’”
Of course, in perfect Trumpian fashion, his (presumed) ability to pass a test must mean that he’s a genius.
Dearie also asked Trump’s lawyers to identify any items that were seized by agents but not listed in the inventory. “This submission shall be Plaintiff’s final opportunity to raise any factual dispute as to the completeness and accuracy of the Detailed Property Inventory,” the judge wrote.
I like the part about making Trump go on record as to whether the FBI planted any evidence. And also that Trump has to write up a justification for every document in dispute.
Like noted above, the speculation is that he filed his first motion because Laura Ingraham was needling his lawyers about why they weren’t fighting back. And having Fox News accuse Trump of not fighting, well, that could have only led to one outcome.
As I said at the time, this test (Montreal Cognitive Assessment Test) was the same test that my elderly aunt took in order to see if she should be moved from her regular care ward to a locked dementia ward. This is what it is used for.
“The FBI totally planted those documents that Trump declassified by thinking about them and they were Hillary’s emails that belong to Trump because they are his and don’t exist, and the documents that the FBI planted and belong to Trump are privileged communications that Trump owns and they don’t exist.”
It’s a pretty hard test. If you have advanced dementia. You have to know what a watch is used for and recognize it in the wild. You have to know what the date is and where you are physically located. And you have to draw shapes.
Team, I’m hearing that Dotard, the Individual of the Firsts, is going to repeat his performance of last night and regale Sean Hannity again with feats of strength and tales of derring-do.
In Canada it is mainly used for dementia of various types. Yes, it is one of many tools to assess delirium and related things but there are often better ones. Never seen it used for substance abuse - how does that work? (Do not want to hijack thread, I assume this is not a common use.)
