It’s way, way too late to look for any additional documents. They could be anywhere at this point.

Though not remotely qualified to answer your question, it seems logical to me that if a former President is involved the requests are more likely to be precise and specific.
" That day, Buttercup was amazed to discover that when Wesley was saying “As you wish,” what he meant was, “I love you.” And even more amazing was the day she realized she truly loved him back."
Too bad. DOJ could maybe have mounted a sting.

The same thing could have been said about everything they picked up at Mar A Lago.
That stuff should have been anywhere but a property with his name attached to it. He knew he took it, he knew he wasn’t supposed to have it, he knew it was illegal, he knew they wanted it back, he knew the raid was an inevitability as long as he didn’t return it, he knew he was only making it worse for himself. In all honesty, it would have been better (for him) if he gave it all to some high school kid and paid them to hide it in their closet for a few years.
But what did he do? Nothing. He treated all this stuff the same way most people treat those boxes that they still haven’t unpacked, even though they moved two years ago.
If he’s still holding on to more documents, it wouldn’t surprise me if they’re just in another random box or filing cabinet somewhere and the feds don’t have much difficulty locating and retrieving them.
Former President Donald Trump late last year floated the idea of swapping the files that he took from the White House to Mar-a-Lago in exchange for “sensitive” documents about the FBI investigation of his 2016 campaign’s ties to Russia, according to The New York Times .
So wait a minute here… I thought that Russia stuff was all a big witch hunt. Just a bunch of salacious lies by Trump’s political opponents, aimed at making him look bad. You mean to tell me he stole national security secrets so he could trade them back to the FBI in exchange for their documents about the totally bogus all made up by lying liars who lie witch hunt? (In case the sarcasm is not obvious here, I am hinting that not only did Trump admit to stealing the documents but he also admitted that the Russia stuff is actually true)
Somebody would have had to help him. Hopefully that person would rat him out.

I was with you up to this point. But I don’t think, in his tiny little brain, that he believed any of those two was a real possibility. I think he put the possibility of a raid into the “they wouldn’t dare” category – the sort of thing that happens to the little guy, never to His Orangeness. Besides – again, his tiny little brain speaking – I’m sure he thought he was well protected by the Secret Service.
What that says about the whereabouts of the missing documents I have no idea, but it wouldn’t surprise me if he was just as careless with them as he was with the first batch. There are very few people he trusts any more, and even Trump knows his two sons are morons.
So, if I a rob a bank, they can’t search my house for the money unless someone has given sworn information that it’s there?
Some Judges would allow that, it depends. I would say if they know the robber is there, plus a possible weapon, that could be grounds.

A really great plumber might find something.
Some Trump lawyers who haven’t drunk the Kool-Aid.
Ex-Trump lawyers I’m sure.
Ex-Trump lawyers I’m sure.
Better that than a Trump ex-lawyer.

“Don Junior, where did you put those documents? I need to know.”
“Um … with Professor Plum, in the conservatory, with a lead pipe?”
“Eric, help me out here.”
“Help you with wh-- ooh, look, is that a drone? Hello! Hi!”
“Ivanka, c’mon. You’ve gotta help me.”
“Dad-eee! Can’t you see I’m with my stylist?”
“I’m surrounded by idiots. Why did I never realize this before?”
Too much to hope for, I suppose.

I don’t see how G. Gordon Liddy would be-Oh!

My guess? Shoved into an overflowing kitchen drawer along with a book of fabric swatches, some printed-out tweets from Nick Adams in which he waxes rhapsodic about how manly Trump is, a DVD copy of Blonde Chicks Black Dicks 37, and an autographed copy of The Art of the Deal which has never been read.
I think if he handled sensitive documents that carelessly, it actually helps him in the court of public opinion. Being the DC outsider, he already gets away with constant breaches of established protocol by people assuming that he simply doesn’t know better. But if he saved them carefully for possible quid pro quo reasons, that is much more damning.

ISTR a half-hearted effort from some apologists to downplay some of President Carter’s staffers’ missteps wrt norms and protocols on similar grounds back in 1977.
Those didn’t cut no ice back then (but they were Democrats, after all).

My guess is Moscow.
Basement of the Russian Embassy?
More from this guilty motherfucker.
