Those are pretty good examples if you’re trying to say they took things that were innocuous and were clearly Trump’s personal property. As the court noted, however, that’s not the standard. Personal property is taken all the time via search warrants.

Trump Fights to Keep Moribund Mar-a-Lago Case Alive
On Friday, the Department of Justice asked the judge presiding over the moribund case to pause all proceedings until the case dies, but Trump’s attorneys opposed that plan later in the day — without indicating whether they would lodge an appeal to the Supreme Court.
According to the article on this blog, the 11th Circuit will issue its “mandate” to end the case on 12/8, barring a stay being issued.
Until that time, Trump’s legal team wants to prolong the proceedings and keep up the current schedule. They asked U.S. District Aileen Cannon, at minimum, to grant hold a telephone conference two days before the drop dead date to discuss how to proceed.
WTF? There’s a typo in the article, so I’m trying to figure out if they meant “to grant holding a telephone conference” or something like that. So, they want to talk to Loose Cannon? For what? What can she do now? Isn’t any appeal up to the Supreme Court?
It is my understanding that they were arguing that there was harm, that he needed immediate relief. There were things that as a former president, there needed to be an exception.
Golf shirts seems really weak tea for that argument.

I believe Cannon herself thought up the whole Special Master business and offered it up to trump’s team, who probably never even heard of such a thing. What Dearie did or didn’t do was immaterial- stalling was the goal of course.
