More seriously, although this exceptional, I’d take it as an indication that the courts are fed up with Trump’s standard litigation tactic of delay, delay, delay. They’re not letting him use court procedure as an end in itself, to defeat the courts from hearing cases on their merits.
Sub-text is that they keep an eye on the election calendar as well, and want the cases to be determined on their merits, whatever that may be, not side-tracked by the elections.
They’re not going to be played by Trump.

Anybody heard anything at all recently about the promise of touch DNA being used to establish who physically handled any of the Mar-A-Lago documents?
I haven’t heard anything. As I understand it, DNA will be taken at his arraignment. I presume the DNA could be used by the feds?
What would we learn? Presumably he handled these documents while President.
There is apparently new evidence that Trump personally went through the documents after the subpoena.
Also, secret service agents have now been subpoenaed.

Fair point, and very likely to be among his innumerable, questionable defenses, but …
a) They’ve been trying to figure out who – with and without legitimate clearances and need-to-know – might have viewed the documents, both to establish potential witnesses and security breaches;
b) I don’t know what statements TFG has made wrt the documents thusfar, apart from “MINES!,” but to the extent he fell back on his trademark denial and deflection, touch DNA might be good impeachment evidence should it come to that.
It’s the whole “I’ve never seen that person before in my life” before a dozen pictures of the two, arm-in-arm, are published.
