Oh, yes.
FBI Search and Seizure at Trump's Mar-A-Lago Residence, August 8, 2022, Case Dismissed July 15, 2024
Did he? He’s kinda notorious for not reading documents, unless they are very short summaries with several pictures.
Maybe the documents he handled had nice colorful pictures.
Or he held them in his hands mumbling his mouth, pretending to read.
“now where did I leave my coloring book?”
Trump was on Hannity last night, giving gifts to the prosecutors:
He really is suffering from cognitive decline, isn’t he. I just hope I’m not committing felonies when I reach that point.
That’s the same clip I posted further up - it’s not from last night. Might be last week though.
Ahhh, my bad. Chris Hayes promoted it just a few minutes ago, so I just assumed that it was from last night. Olbermann is also talking about this specific clip too (today), hence my confusion.
Say, are you committing felonies?
I could do that, I’m allowed to do that. Yeah I would do that.
Before that report, Trump could reasonably claim that he knew nothing about the documents, the report said. He could say his staff had packed them into boxes when he moved from the White House, without Trump’s knowledge.
But if he was showing them off to visitors, that argument would be killed.
Former Principal Deputy Solicitor General Neal Katyal, who joined Strzok on Wallace’s panel, explained that these facts remove Trump’s ability to use that excuse. It ties Trump directly to obstruction.
uff da!! that would be the ball game. good grief, what an utterly oblivious cretin.
Did you see the Sean Hannity interview where Hannity was trying to take him by the tiny hand and guide him toward safe non-incriminating answers and he bristled and said he can crime if he wants to crime?
yes, yes i did.
i’m wondering how many lawyers have fallen into the “but i can change him” trap.
that clip will feature in the trial, as well as many others.
It’s not decline if you’ve always been like that.
I’m thinking it’s a step or two above obstruction. Espionage.
Thus far, this has been a surprisingly effective strategy for Trump. He says he did it but because he was President it is okay for him to do it because (insert bullshit here). The system was not built to account for this kind of behavior at all and with that being the case he gets way more benefit of the doubt than he should.
He hasn’t. Listen to old recording from a few decades ago – he was always an asshole, but he wasn’t always a dimwit (or at least not that dimwitted).
Like when they asked him in the 1980s if he’d ever run for president and he laughed and said there’s no way he could get elected with his past. Totally different personality than we’ve seen lately.
ETA: Okay, not “totally different.” But different.
