FBI Search and Seizure at Trump's Mar-A-Lago Residence, August 8, 2022, Case Dismissed July 15, 2024

If Timothy Parlatore is to be believed, then the apparent lead of Trump’s legal team, Boris Epshteyn, is barely a lawyer. I could see him signing off on that to keep Trump happy.

New reporting, Mar-a-Lago workers were told to move boxes containing classified documents just one day before a scheduled FBI visit (when they handed over a few documents and a signed affidavit that there were no more).

Also in the article:

The grand jury working on the investigation apparently has not met since May 5, after months of frenetic activity at the federal courthouse in Washington.

Could they be done?

Absolutely, considering Trump has confessed several times now.

I’m not sure that I’d agree that the article says that much.

Did he get his degree from American Samoa Law School?

Go Land Crabs!

Trump University.

Well that’s a step down.

Good thing Trump isn’t as competent as Uncle Duke.

The attorney’s phone numbers and email are plainly visible on the letter.

WTF! I’m dying to call and ask if their refrigerator is running. Or if they have Prince Albert in a can.

What a bunch of numbskulls. Looks like DJT finally has a legal team stupider than him.

How else would Garland know how to contact them?

As an aside, is it against the law to contact someone and pretend to be the Attorney General? It seems like that used to be a fairly common prank on morning radio shows. Not necessarily the AG, but people/institutions of stature.

A person commits a misdemeanor if he or she falsely pretends to hold a position in the public service with purpose to induce another to submit to such pretended official authority or otherwise to act in reliance upon that pretense to his or her prejudice.

So I can call somewhere and ask if they have Prince Albert in a can, but I cannot pretend to be Prince Albert, got it.

I wouldn’t do it that way. I’d call the dumbass lawyer’s office pretending to be from the AG’s office and leave a message saying that the AG has received the letter and is inclined to agree that Trump is being treated unfairly, and that it might be best to drop the case. But the AG is anxious to discuss the terms and would the dumbass lawyer please call the AG’s Washington number and ask to speak to Garland personally so that the matter may be speedily resolved.

Breaking news from cnn, trump on tape regarding the documents he kept. This case has got to be near the end game at this point. From what is in public, I can’t see how he escapes an espionage charge.

Well that sounds bad. And not suprising.

Currently the lead story on CNN. Fox News, of course, has never heard about this. Their lead story is all about how corrupt Joe Biden is. Also, a leading dermatologist reveals how you can have radiant skin this summer.

I’m sure every three letter agency in the US is wondering just what got leaked. Not just about Iran. Every other country in the world.

And I would think that when Trump says ‘Share’ he means ‘Highest Bidder’.

I’m watching the MSNBC report about this and I think it is kind of funny that they are saying this undercuts Trump’s defense that he can declassify anything as he pleases. That was never a defense to begin with. Trump was clearly just making stuff up and for some reason people keep dignifying his fantasies about how things in the real world actually work.
