I tried to get the cadence (approximately) right:

For the past week I’ve been working on a rewrite of Warren Zevon’s “Lawyers Guns and Money” but having a hard time getting it to come together.
I went home with some papers
The way I always do

And you can probably leave the “Russians” line as is 
The thing is, LG&M is just four short verses. The Trumpy version could easily be twice that long.
If I correctly remember what I read once, the law in MCV was surprisingly accurate.

I keep wondering if Nauta (or anyone else) flips, if the DOJ would offer him some type of protective custody. Not because his life would be in danger (thought it might), but because they know how manipulative trump can be.
It doesn’t seem like an awful idea to get him a room in a hotel a few cities away so that trump can’t convince him to change his mind.
From that court order earlier:
Defendants shall only have access to Discovery Materials under the direct supervision of Defense Counsel or a member of Defense Counsel’s staff. Defendants shall not retain copies of Discovery Material. Defendants may take notes regarding Discovery Materials, but such notes shall be stored securely by Defense Counsel or
a member of Defense Counsel’s staff in the same manner as the Discovery Materials.

Nauta is in an odd situation since he half-helped the FBI/DOJ by sitting for an interview and giving grand jury testimony. I’m not clear if he voluntarily turned over his cell phone, but he certainly stopped helping at some point or I don’t think he would be a Defendant. My point is, I don’t know if he can flip anymore. I mean he can for moral reasons, but I don’t know how much it would help him or how much DOJ even needs him…if this were a normal case at least.
btw, Nauta is not able to receive the discovery docs since he does not have a FL licensed attorney/has not been arraigned. So he hasn’t seen what’s in there and he doesn’t know what Trump knows…just Trump’s rage on Truth Social to what was in the discovery materials. Gulp.

This ranks very high in the list of “phrases I never thought I would hear”. This entire shameful case is weirder than any fiction anyone could concoct.
Still? What’s up with that? I thought Trumpy was paying his legal bills, and should be getting him a lawyer pronto. What’s wrong with the lawyer(s) that Trump had for his arraignment?
Surely Nauta can’t just play the “I don’t have a lawyer card” forever and just never get arraigned?
