So… He’s saying that while he was President, he failed to enforce the law against a criminal Democrat?

So… He’s saying that while he was President, he failed to enforce the law against a criminal Democrat?
Now I’m thinking of Missile Command only it’s criminal indictments instead of missiles. The lawyers can keep swatting them down but sooner or later they’re going to start hitting and then it’s game over.
Did you see this:
Relates to the fake electors spoke of the January 6th scheme, I think. As such, it doesn’t belong in this thread, but I thought you’d enjoy knowing about it.
What he’s saying is that Obama’s middle name is Hussein. Because he and his marchers are all motivated by racism.
Sure it does. The majority of Covid deaths in the past year+ were anti-vaxxers, & anti-vaxxers are almost always Trump supporters.
Something may very well come of it if, after cataloguing what they’ve found, the investigators determine that there are still items missing. What items, and where are they? That could lead to all kinds of unpleasant outcomes, and not just for Agent Orange.
Jared comes to mind. Though the idea of keeping/moving these documents may well have originated with Trump, he had to have help executing the plan. This was just too organized for the orange one to pull off alone.
I’m sure they can get finger prints or dna off of the pages or items.
Like Merrick Garland keeps saying, he will proceed without fear or favor wherever the evidence leads. That’s how it should be done. I have confidence in him.
Political appointees should set broad policy guidelines and stay out of the way when it comes to individual charging decisions.
As for what the career prosecutors should do, they should make a case if there is a high chance of success in court. In this case, that means staying away from a jury trial where one Trumper would be enough to prevent conviction. Here’s the relevant rule::
According to the Supreme Court, the jury-trial right applies only when “serious” offenses are at hand—petty offenses don’t invoke it. For purposes of this right, a serious offense is one that carries a potential sentence of more than six months’ imprisonment.
Charge him with violating the Espionage Act, and you are handing him another big win, just like the Democrats did with impeachment.
Charge him with stealing a few papers rightfully the property of the Nation Archives, and that might get an actual deserved conviction.
I’m sure they can get finger prints or dna off of the pages or items.
I don’t want to know how DNA gets on a document…
Maybe Roger Stone was very excited to see his pardon.
Don’t want to know, don’t want to know … la la la - fingers in ears…
I don’t want to know how DNA gets on a document…
It’s called “touch DNA” and can get on things in a variety of ways. It’s become a tool for forensic investigation of crimes. Here’s a technical paper on it: Touch DNA in forensic science: The use of laboratory-created eccrine fingerprints to quantify DNA loss - PMC
But how did he know which documents that FBI was going to plant so he could declassify them before hand?

If we can play Clue for a bit, guessing who’s ratting out Trump and what he’s being ratted out for……….my guess is:
Tom Barrack in Saudi Arabia with a nuclear reactor.
This morning I read this House Oversight Report outlining some corruption that had largely sailed under the radar, early in Trump’s presidency.
Tom Barrack is one of Trump’s millionaire buddies, someone that raised a lot of money from him and wanted some things in return. The short version of the scandal is that Mike Flynn, Tom Barrack and others were part of a consortium that wanted to build nuclear reactors in Saudi Arabia. They faced a couple of significant barriers in exporting the technologies, such as Congressional approval and, more significantly, the fact that the Saudi’s were not willing to agree not to use the reactors to enrich uranium.
They had a scheme to circumvent these things they saw as technicalities, which involved Trump issuing statements they had written and signing executive orders that they had drafted and making statements they had drafted to the Saudis and the public, also appointing Barrack as a Special Envoy. Some folks at the NSC (National Security Council) got wind of this and tried to shut down, they weren’t really successful but they threw enough wrenches into the works that the deals didn’t happen.
Tom Barrack was indicted for acting as an unregistered agent of a foreign government over his extensive dealings with the Saudis. However, the indictment never mentions the nuclear deal that is the subject of the House Oversight Report.
My theory is that this nuclear deal thing gives the government an incredible amount of leverage over Barrack, because conspiring to circumvent the law to help the Saudis enrich uranium would be an extremely serious charge.
So I think he’s cooperating in order to involve being charged over the prospective nuclear deal, which would’ve been an administration defining scandal under any other President, but it’s just one of many things that escaped notice during the Trump years.

Like Trump would be friends with someone name “Barrack”.
Apologies, I haven’t read the whole thread (it escalated quickly) but I see that the talk is now relating to charges of espionage.
I am not happy about that.
That seems far too glamorous for the likes of Trump. Can we not find something just as serious but rather more squalid? Not something that brings to mind undercover infiltration, shadowy secret intelligence agents and subtle intrigues.
I mean, just read that last paragraph. In no way do “Trump” and “subtle intrigues” sit comfortably together.
I haven’t seen this posted yet. Here’s a copy of the warrant and the evidence recovered.
