From my understanding, the order isn’t appealable since the DOJ agreed to her sealing the report. However there were two other parties, I don’t remember whom exactly, that submitted briefs and of which Cannon said they don’t have an interest. That IS appealable and if they are shown to have an interest, then the order can be appealed.
Or, a new Democratic DOJ could just defy the court and release it anyway. Who would prosecute a contempt charge?
We know that he got trapped in a honey trap. That he liked. Those documents are all compremised.

Then blocked the report explaining why he should have been convicted.
One of the reasons that there was no interested party in releasing the report is that that party would be the DoJ, which, since Trump took office, is now subservient to him. If it was a Democrat in office, this DoJ would have broken its neck to get that report released.

Aren’t SCOUS nominees subject to filibuster? I’m willing to bet there are a number of Republicans who do not want Cannon on the SC but are more than willing to blame Democrats for her failure to pass.
I seem to recall that the Supreme Court filibuster was eliminated.
Cannon is so openly incompetent and corrupt that I have a slim hope that 4 Republicans (Collins, McConnell, Murkowski, and maybe Cassidy?) might vote against her. But it’s an awfully slim hope.

Unfortunately, it probably won’t help with the next vacancy, which is predicted to be Judge Alito retiring in October. So there’s plenty of time for Cannon to get her place before Dems have a chance to take the Senate.

He has a book coming out in October. As the linked article notes, book sales are likely better for a sitting Justice than one who is retired.

Funny - I’ve heard the upcoming book cited as strong evidence that he is retiring, as the Court’s term will have started, making a book tour difficult.
