That’s like asking for a slightly less rabid dog.
FBI Search and Seizure at Trump's Mar-A-Lago Residence, August 8, 2022, Case Dismissed July 15, 2024
I think it unlikely that Trump runs in 2024. He will try to play king maker though. Trump will be in the White House, as a guest in the Lincoln bedroom.
I do not believe the decision to search Trump’s house was made independently of the decision to arrest him, providing the expected physical evidence was found. The question of “What do we do if we find anything?” is too obvious to be left unanswered until after the search.
Right now, the DOJ and FBI are putting the final touches on the necessary paperwork.

Under house arrest, certain things like internet access and visitors may be restricted. Not necessarily, but they may be.
Even if he is allowed them, he will certainly be denied the two things he loves the most:
- He won’t be able to golf.
- He won’t be able to hold rallies.
If he’s at Mar-A-Lago, unless actually confined to the residence, it seems he could do both.
A rally with 5 people at a time would not be much fun for him.
And Mar-a-lago has a single practice putting green; the golf course is on another property.
I’d only back house arrest if we get to choose the house.
I watched an MSNBC clip where Michael Cohen, Trump’s former lawyer/fixer is being interviewed and he speculates that the inside man at Mar-a-Lago might be Jared Kushner. He bases this on “look how much trouble Kushner, Secretary of Everything, is not getting in right now.” Wouldn’t that be a fun twist?
I love when the rats in a rat king start biting each other.
Blaming them on Hillary, Obama, and Joe, I presume?
Will they let trump have his solid gold toilet in his cell?
That’s a given.
A ‘big house’?
I’d be happy if they sentenced him to one of those Quonset huts in Antarctica.
The last few paragraphs of this article are quite interesting.
We already know that Jay Bratt, a top counterintelligence official, traveled to Mar-a-Lago with a small group of other officials in June. There, they met with Agent Orange’s lawyer Evan Corcoran and examined the storage area from which these documents were taken. But there’s more!
Then federal investigators subpoenaed surveillance footage from the club, which could have given officials a glimpse of who was coming in and out of the storage area, according to a person with knowledge of the matter.
Did they get that footage? Could be very interesting if so.
During the same period, investigators were in contact with a number of Mr. Trump’s aides who had some knowledge of how he stored and moved documents around the White House and who still worked for him, three people familiar with the events said.
Maybe they already know who was responsible for moving this stuff out of the White House and to where it was retrieved.
And who was visiting Trump at this property who may have had an interest in obtaining the documents.
Espionage. Selling nuclear secrets to foreign powers. The GOP does not give a shit if he did this.
Paraphrasing from Facebook (since you can’t find anything if you reload the page):
A Venn diagram of people who are outraged at the FBI’s search-and-seizure at Trump’s residence at Mar-a-Lago, and the people who insist Brittney Griner should have just obeyed the law, would just be a circle.
I thought espionage brought the death penalty. I could live with that.
I believe you are thinking of treason.
The Rosenbergs were executed for espionage.
