There is a real issue whether a criminal conviction could include a bar to running again. The qualifications for President are defined by Article II of the Constitution. The argument is that Congress can’t amend the qualifications for President by an ordinary statute. That makes sense to me, for what it’s worth.

Effectively, Trump waited so long to file this that the DOJ had already done the work. And there’s 40 pages of reasoning coming as to why Trump is full of shit on this issue.
Yes. And open arms from the GOP and “tens of millions of requests by even foreign nationals, with tears in their eyes”, he’s on the GOP ticket again. If not (I sincerely doubt) on the GOP ticket, he’ll definitely run independently to screw the repubs who “weren’t faithful”. All after a guilty verdict and a $5,000 fine.

Some moderately high person in the FBI resigned, shortly after Chuck Grasely wrote a letter the DOJ complaining that according to whistle blowers he acted in a partisan fashion to prevent the FBI investigation of the Hunter laptop, by declaring potentially damaging evidence as disinformation. No actual details of what exactly he is being accused of have been made public. But this clearly means that the whole of the FBI except for the whistle blowers are Deep state operatives, and that Joe Biden should probably be executed.
We don’t know what the trigger will be.

Is it safe to say that any documents that are covered under attorney client privilege, are not top-secret? I am assuming that attorney-client privilege means that trumps attorney was involved in the communication, and therefore would only be classified if the attorney had security clearance. Which seems unlikely.
If he runs again, I think running as an independent would be the best possible outcome. That would almost certainly split the right.
We do know the obvious triggers, and they are not going to work. They aren’t going to riot for him.
Well, it worked for Trump the first time when James Comey announced he was reopening the investigation into Hillary’s emails. So by Trump logic, if an investigation into Hunter Biden’s… whatever had been announced, that would have been enough to put Trump over the top.
Although I may be wrong I doubt that it’s 40 pages of legal arguments, they edit that down to match the page requirements. More likely they needed the 40 pages to list all of the things taken and how they were categorized regarding attorney client privilege, which would not be able to be edited for size.
It doesn’t matter. These folks, whoever they are and however many of them there are, are only waiting for a signal from Trump. If it’s not over the special master issue, it will be over something else. This is an event we must face and fight. It’s coming no matter what we do. We may as well do the right things and take it on whenever it comes.
There are more steps for DOJ to take before making a final determination as to whether or not to prosecute. I don’t think they’re going to do anything before the mid-terms, so may as well get comfy and see how the process unfolds.

He has been sending signals for weeks and no one, except one dorq in Ohio and the camera posers @ NARA-lago, has come out in protest. He’s been bleating ‘rise up’ for, what, 3 weeks now, and…

I know we always witness history just living our lives, but IMO this is different.
I’m from a blue state and the majority of people/family I know are Riding the Cult Train. From my perspective, they are waiting for the midterms in hopes of getting national power back. If they lose, then what?
Let’s say we grind their messiah into an orange jumpsuit as a final blow.

Were I to guess, I believe it will be somewhere in between hand-to-hand combat between neighbors and Trump supporters doing nothing. I’m not as sanguine as @JohnT, but neither do I think we’ll endure anything close to a full scale rebellion.
The cultists are not well organized. Trump is no Mad Dog Mattis. There may be some (and I’m being generous in my estimate here) thousands of them, but there are millions of us. Biden is not without options to put down an open insurrection.
Don’t get me wrong. There will be pockets of scary violence. But there already are, and we need to get this over with once and for all.
