Fear Itself - "Spooked" [spoilers!]

I liked it! The violence at the beginning made me squirm. Eric Roberts did a good job. I loved the changing artwork/graffiti in the film.

A few things confused me. The woman (sister of ghost) was one of four kids who got their throats slashed, but she survived. What were the circumstances of the slashings? Did I just miss it? Was that why that particular house was haunted, that’s where it happened? Why didn’t Eric (can’t remember the character’s name) know about this house?

Also, what was the gross stuff on the floor? I assumed it was “ectoplasm.”

All in all, it was pretty good for a short film.

<bump>

Did no one watch this?

I started to, but I was home alone that night, and haunted houses are rather high up on my creep-out list, so I had to keep switching to something else.

As you say, the changing graffiti paintings were VERY effective.

I just watched. The thunderstorm passing over Brooklyn set a nice tone for the episode. While I generally prefer monster horror, like last week’s The Sacrifice, over haunting/psychological horror, I thought this episode was put together much better than last week. I was also confused about the 4 children…was it ever established that 4 children actually killed themselves in the house, or was it just graffiti? It also seemed weird that Harry couldn’t tell that he was having flashbacks to shooting his brother the first two times he saw his living room.
