She’s his Housekeeper (Thomas Abigail’s)… and even I, a non-servant having person, know the Housekeeper is just about the final word in a household. She helped raise him, I guess.
She’s Luis’ Mother IIRC.
Now, I still don’t understand how Daniel knew she poisoned the parishioners. When Strand’s gaing all arrived at the church, they were all dead already, or they had turned. Celia was nowhere in sight, neither was Thomas. All they found was a big group of infected. What made them think they were poisoned to begin with?
Perhaps he found rat poison in the pantry.
The priest accused Celia while dying in Daniel’s arms. You might argue that this only kicks the can down the road a bit. How did the priest figure out what was going on? I notice that the position of the priest’s head in the crook of Daniel’s arm, about where the bite appeared later, suggests it was the priest who doomed him.
I think you’re mixing up Daniel and Thomas.
Not unlikely. Let’s see… Daniel is Salazar, the ex-Junta guy. Right. Thomas is the Abigail. Right.
I’m sure I’ll remember it in the future. I may forget again that Chris has a name.
And in a post apocalypse world the fact that it is Thomas’ house or that he pays the servants becomes completely irrelevant. She is in charge because those are her people, she is no longer the servant.
Well… they haven’t actually shown that kind of dynamic in play. Thomas was, of course, probably too busy dying to care much about that. And except for the lady collecting weapons, we don’t hear much from other members of the household. Have they all bought into the old lady’s crazy notions? We don’t know.
I have to admit this show is going in strange directions and I am enjoying it.
Here’s a question, were we supposed to assume the cop with the Owl coin was a member of their family since they had the Owl imaginary on their property?
That was Luis, Celia’s son. The one that was going to sneak them into mexico.
But the priest died in Thomas’ arms, not Daniels. Thomas was the guy bitten, not Daniel.
Yeah, I was calling Thomas Daniel. On multiple occasions, it seems. The question was about Daniel, and I answered about Thomas.
So, how did Daniel figure it out? Well… I don’t know. I mean, I like it better than when people were just being stoopit and not seeing what was right in front of their noses, but yeah if characters seem to know too much it’s like the writers skipped showing you the evidence they pieced together.
I think now it should become a bedroom farce with Nick the Junkie getting caught in a love triangle with Strand and Celia (both of whom are clearly attracted to him).
The show has gotten better. Lots of plot twists. However, I do not like subtitles, especially when the words are the same color as the background.
Celia is nucking futs. When is the best time to leave the house of a poisoner? ASAP or yesterday? And don’t accept any doggy bags she might give you.
Chris Manawa froze several times when confronted with the option of killing someone. Because of that, I don’t believe Chris threaten what’s-her-name (Alycia/Alicia)? He said, “I don’t want to hurt anyone”. That could be taken either way. And it explains why he freezes when confronted with the option of killing. Of course, this just adds to his teenage angst. Nobody likes me, everybody hates me, I think I’ll eat some worms.
I don’t understand the alleged suicide pact between Thomas Abigail and Strand. First Thomas asks Madison to look after him (Strand?) after I’m (Thomas) is gone. Then Celia appears to finally be happy with Strand because he’s now good enough for Thomas. And more poisoned wafers appear. Thomas dies and Strand pops a cap in his head. It doesn’t seem as if Strand was in on this suicide thing.
Shooting Thomas, or any of the walkers, in the head is a big no-no as far as Celia is concerned. Everybody get out. Leave. But not right away. (Maybe I’ll fix you something to eat before you go.)
Eat this!
It will make you feel better.
I think Strand understands how crazy the whole family is, but wanted to make Thomas felt better as he was dying. He had no intention of committing suicide, but as long as Thomas thought he was going to die along with him and that made his death easier, then why not?
Now that Celia both knows that he wasn’t serious, and put a bullet in Thomas’ head thereby really, for real in her mind, killing him, they had all best find more suitable accommodations.
Oops. That’s what I get for not paying close attention. I thought Luis was dead and that was one of the people on the other boat that was shooting at them who had boarded. Looked like he was in a uniform.
…AND, does anyone believe they will do that? :dubious:
Celia should be locked in with the walkers. It seems to be her ultimate goal anyway. I don’t think Strand or Daniel would have a problem with putting her there.
That part doesn’t make a lot of sense to me, either.
