I am not going to use big fancy words in a poetic style to express my shock. But please know that I am really shocked. I spend tons of money each month to have sex with a woman (prostitute, plus I have never dated) but these guys in the video take the women and plus they get some gifts even some money.
They can just meet a guy in your country and do it. Why do they travel abroad to do it? Why do they travel to specifically Africa to do that? Why not China or Japan or South America or Middle East etc.?
Do you approve of female sex tourism? (Women are free to do whatever they want. I am just curious about whether you approve of this or not)

It happens in Thailand too, although to a lesser extent than male sex tourism. Africa is the big place known for it though. This certainly is nothing new.
EDIT: I haven’t bothered to watch the video. As I said, this is rather commonplace. In fact, there are several bars in Bangkok where Thai prostitutes go to pay for Thai men at the end of their day or night of work. I’ll see if I can find a story that the Bangkok Post ran on the phenomenon.

And count yourself lucky you’re at least part of the sex that can fuck on its own merits (on average) more than the other sex. While perverts like me like older women, there’s no doubt that most men basically confine themselves to under 30s with decent modies and with a decreasing age scale down to basically legality (or lower if a differnt type of pervert to me). All you have to do to be attractive, assuming no exterme issues, is just be a decent enough person.
Oh and female prostitutes are cheaper over all due to limited female job opportunities. Stop whinging!
You act like it’s something that everyone just automatically knows about. I wasn’t aware of sex tourism for female travelers until a few years ago. It’s just a subject that had never come up before.
I watched the article I linked to above cause a similar reaction in an Israeli sex tourist. He was sitting at the same beerbar I was, livid that women would do such a thing. It really seemed to offend him. He nattered on and on about it. Him doing it was different, of course.
They’re illegal, but my father-in-law had one. Basically a mistress, although with a little more formal standing. My father-in-law, your typical Chinese-Thai businessman, kept two houses – one for his main wife and their four children (including my now-wife) and another for his minor wife and their four children. (There were suspicions that he had a third wife squirreled away somewhere.)
She wasn’t completely for it, but as long as he kept the families separate she tolerated it. Not much else the wife of a Chinese-Thai businessman could do. But I hear that one time he proposed having everyone live together in one house, and she really put her foot down then. A big row followed, but she won. The second family attended our wedding, but after my father-in-law died 12 years ago, I think the two families did not keep in touch. My brother-in-law may still keep up with them, but I’m not sure.
As for how he got away with it, it was pretty much a cultural norm. Still is to some extent, although it’s much less in the open these days.
Around here the cliché is the middle-aged woman who goes on holiday to Turkey to pick up a hot young guy. I’ve never heard of any part of Africa being a destination. (Not saying it isn’t, just that it doesn’t have a monopoly.)

It was mainly older English women. Usually, not meaning to be unkind here at all, larger, older women seen with very dashing, beautifully sculpted young men. Those young men would be fawning over these ladies, lavishing attention. It was quite an odd sight really.
Of course, if both sides are happy then it’s all gravy. It’s just different: unfortunately we’re used to seeing rich, fat, ugly old men with pretty young women and the other way around can still be quite surprising. I suppose it must be such an incredibly sought after thing for these women, to feel so loved and attractive. At home, what they did would not be approved of at all, so going abroad to feel good seems like a good solution.
For the Gambian lads it was a pretty good way of making money, and they marketed it well. I made a couple of friends (no, just regular friends!) and some of them were in that trade. It’s really funny to go on their facebook accounts: it’s all older English women who are their friends, posting how they miss them, when they’re coming again etc!
To me it seemed like a good deal for all involved, no particular oppression, unfairness or racism that I observed either way, though I might be wrong.
