Fess up: Who still has their Christmas tree up?

I can’t be the only one. The cats are having fun climbing in it, anyway.

Well, not technically “up”. It is lying in a big heap in the floor. I’ve got to go get one of those tree storage bags …

I didn’t put a tree up this year. (Cats and all, and I haven’t yet built my miniature village with tree display yet – that’s next year) I still have my Christmas lights up and on, though.

Not me, but my neighbours only took theirs down yesterday. I saw it lying outside this morning awaiting the fortnightly council green waste collection.

I didn’t put up a tree, but all of my decorations are still up waiting for me to build up courage to drag it up to the attic.

Mine is up . . . on the shelf in the garage where it mostly lives.
A neighbor was outside taking down his decorations at 1:00 on Christmas.

Mine’s still up. It’s a 15-inch artificial jobbie that my sister brought over for me. I need to get a storage container for it and some new ornaments I bought this year. Gotta get over to Big Lots one day soon.

My tree has been up for four years, one month, and 21 days. Beat that.

Only about half. I started it last weekend, but some of the little garbage tag ties that we use to fasten the groups of like branches together were missing. We don’t use garbage bags with those ties, so I had to remember to bring some home from work. Which I did Friday. So tomorrow it comes all the way down and goes into the bag. It has to. The original box is still in the carport and I have to know if the tree fits into the new bag before I can get rid of the box. And tomorrow is garbage day.

Hey Sandy Hook ltns. Did I ever tell you that there’s a town in Miss called Sandy Hook?

Still up – never finished decorating it – took too much time at 12 feet high.

I took mine down two days ago. All the decorations were put up on January 3rd, but the empty tree sat almost a month…

I still have it all kitted out, because Mrs Aruns loves it so much! Coming from the Far East, she’s not used to have it, and finds it nice and exotic!

Off topic Lars, But I’m from Sunderland. Never knew a doper was so close! yay.

We took our tree down Yesterday, we always leave it up for a while after Christmas because it’s so pretty and heck we spent hours getting it decorated. Plus the dogs like to sleep under it for some strange reason.

I am the only house left on my street with all the lights still up.

No tree here but DeHusband took down the outside lights yesterday! Still in January, isn’t that great?

We took ours down after Jan. 6, but there are still houses out there with their lights not only up, but still on at night.

We frequently joke that here in Massachusetts, people leave their wreaths up until the Easter Bunny takes them away. Which would be funny, except that they frequently still have their dessicated, brown, fire-hazard wreaths up even after Easter.

When I started one job in June, I was surprised to see that one house I passed still had a plastic Santa on their roof. “About time they took that down,” I thought. It was still up when I left the job eight years later. It’s still up there now, after 15 years. God knows how long it was up before I saw it the first time…

We always leave it up until Jan 6, so we took everything down last weekend, but didn’t get it all put away in the basement until yesterday. The tree was actually in pieces, sitting in my hallway.

We have a ton of Christmas stuff…our tree is pretty big (old house/high ceilings), and we have about 6 of those big storage tubs full of stuff (plus assorted wreaths, etc. that don’t fit in the tubs). It took us all last weekend just to get it packed up.

I hate hate hate putting Christmas stuff up and taking it down, but of course I love how the house looks when it is decorated! Every year I wish I could hire somene to do it for me, and if I am ever rich, maybe I will!

After two weeks of it lying forlornly on my front porch, shedding needles and attracting the neighborhood dogs (classy!) I finally got someone to help me start my cranky chainsaw so I could chop it up small enough to go in the green-waste bin yesterday.
