FF: Did you make your league's championship game?

First time the Denver Pinstripes have ever been in the finals… Someone tell me Frank Gore isn’t playing so I can slip DeShaun Foster in against the Rams.

I’m in two 1-On-1 Pool leagues which run through the Super Bowl. I’ve locked up my division title in one pool (more due to the other three in my division playing very badly than me playing good), and moved into the #6 seed spot in the other pool – as long as I win the next two weeks, I’m golden. Go Rabid Ferrets!

In one league I smoked the competition during the regular season with a 12-1 record and ran away with the points championship. Then my players collectively decided no to show up last Sunday and I got beaten in the semi-finals…badly.

In my other league I snuckinto the playoffs with a 6-6-1 record and have managed to make into the championship game. I too am hoping Frank Gore does not play.

In my work (Big Money) league, I had the best team in the regular season by (not a typo) 420 points. Yes, that’s right, I basically scored four weeks worth more of points than the next highest guy; I was averaging 140 on the season when the next highest was averaging 110. I went 12-2 in the regular season and got the 1 seed. 14 team league, and deep even past that in terms of how many guys you got to start and roster. I was feeling great at this display of manly skill and prowess over my peers.

… and was promptly knocked out 118-115 in the semifinals when my receiving troika of Fitzgerald, Housh, and Davone Bess put up a total of 19 points (PPR), and the guy I was going against had Steve Smith and Antonio Bryant. Even with that, if McNabb didn’t come out of the game with 12 minutes left last night, he probably would have gotten over 300 yards and gotten me the win (1 point for getting to 300 and a 2 point bonus for the same, and I had the total TDs tiebreaker).

Frustrated? Yeah, a little bit. But as I was saying all season, no matter how good your team is, in fantasy football you can just really make the playoffs and then see how things go. I’m happy I got my money back for finishing in a playoff spot. And happy that fantasy baseball, a much more pure display of skill, is coming back in a few months!

Yup! Finished 3rd in the league at 9-5, now I’m against the 13-1 juggernaut that has owned this league all year for the title. Never made it this far before. Now if I could only decide if I should play Drew Brees, who is playing for nothing, but against the hapless Lions, or Matt Cassel whose team is still charging hard with playoff hopes against the Cards. Decisions, decisions…

No.

In the semi finals I was down 12 at the start of Monday Night Football. My opponent was finished and all I had left was Brian Westbrook. I ended up losing by 6 or 7. I had won that league 7 years in a row so I suppose I can’t be too upset.

Yes! I had the second best record during the regular season, and a bye during the first round of playoffs. Won this past week handily against a tough opponent, and now I am up against the guy who went 11-3 (who happens to be my brother). Although, he’s in India until the 22nd, so it will be really embarrassing if I can’t pull out a win against a guy who isn’t even around to set his team…

Sure did.

I’m the defending champ in my 12-team (three divisions) Big Money League. Ran off 5 straight regular season wins to finish the season at 10-4 and Division Winner. Beat the other division winner by 30 points last week in the semis and will play the regular season winner (12-4) this week for the championship. He and I are 1-2 in the overall points standings and are pretty evenly matched.

My roster is pretty set except for one position. Let me know what you guys think.

Chris Johnson (TEN) vs. Pittsburgh
or
Antonio Bryant (TB) vs. San Diego

I’m leaning towards Bryant because of the 1) White the TD Vulture, 2) the Pittsburgh D is ferocious, and 3) Bryant has been en fuego. But, I’ve been riding CJ all season and I hate to give up on him now.

Team is 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 WR, 2 RB/WR, 1 TE, 1 K, and 1 DEF and the rest of my line-up looks like this:

K. Warner
S. Jackson
B. Marshall,
R. Moss
D. Clark
M. Bryant
Tampa Bay

The only other bench option I have is Willie Parker who hasn’t been reliable enough to use since Week 1.
