who else won their FFL?

Bwahahahahahaha…

I’m the champ of a 12 person league - its the third year I’ve played with pretty much the same group of peeps. Its my work league - SCC Radio. Back in mid-NOV I am in 2 place in the worst division… I have not one but 2 TIES! THEN I get fired. Seriously, not good. BUT I start to win in the company FFL. I win every game after that and the whole shebang. KARMA rules.

I’d like to thank Vick, and then Cutler (and myself for picking Jay up off of the waiver wire at the last second…GO BRONCOS); and thanks also to Steven Jackson, Brian Westbrook, Furrey, Don the Driver, Ben Watson then McMicheal - who had 10 points this week! YES; and finally Kasay and strangely enough the Steelers D. ??

Whats your championship team look like?

By my calculations, I just lost my championship game by one point. I had the Miami defense, who dropped an easy pick that would have won it for me. And, I suppose they would have won their game as well. Bastards.

I lost my 3rd place game by two points. That dropped interception cost me 3rd since I have the tiebreak over my opponent. Or I could blame Tony Romo for throwing one of those two interceptions. Or I could blame myself for playing Tiki over Addai or Edwards over Heap.

Any one of those things would have done it for me.

In another league, I’ll be in the finals next week against an overmatched opponent who pulled a huge upset this week and knocked off the #1 seed. First should be mine.

I didn’t even make the playoffs. It was my first time playing FF, and my season got off to a bad start.

My QB went down in Week 1 with concussion (Trent Green), and was out for 8 weeks. Then my #1 pick running back (Alexander) broke his foot in Week 3 and missed 6 games. I also had one of the league’s best wide receivers, who was unfortunately playing on one of the league’s worst teams (Randy Moss and the Raiders), and who was obviously unhappy and unproductive there.

Some of my other players produced some good performances, but they weren’t good enough or consistent enough to keep me in the hunt. Green and Alexander put up some decent numbers when they returned, but by then my season was shot.

I won one of three $ leagues, which has me at just +$80, though I was at +$250 last year. So I’m doing pretty well.

shameless bump…

I’m looking for the common players in championship teams - who do you owe your genius to?

who is your team made of?

3rd this year. I blame Matt Hasselbeck who had negative points for every game he started AFTER he came back from his injury. Last year I won though. I was smart enough to pick up Shaun alexander and some backup RB for the Cheifs. In other words, I murdered every team I played during the second half, no one had a chance.

I won an 8 person league, though it was somewhat lucky of me. I was seeded 4th (out of 4 spots) going into the playoffs, but won both my playoff games. First game I played I beat the guy who had LT on his team.

As for my players, hmm, from memory…

Ben Rothlisburger (started my first playoff game, only time I started him all year… QB was a weak spot for me all season, with a shuffling cast of characters)
Rex Grossman (started second playoff game, and some regular season games)
Vince Young (started him in some regular season games, but not in the playoffs, and he had a great game last week too, but that mistake fortunately didn’t cost me)
(and some guys who I had earlier on in the season, then dropped, like Chad Pennington, Delhomme and Plummer… like I said, big weak spot for me)

Deuce McAllister
Ahman Green
Chestor Taylor
Rudi Johnson
Leon Washington
(my RBs, I forget exactly who I started each week, other than not Leon)

TJ Houshmandzadeh
Marvin Harrison (who saved me with his great Monday night performance in the first playoff game after a so so regular season)
Hines Ward

Marques Colston
Jeremy Shockey

Ryan Longwell

And the Baltimore Defense.

Colston was probably my big standout (and best post-draft pick-up) 2/3rds of the way through the season, but he got hurt and didn’t do a huge amount after coming back. Overall my best performer was the Baltimore def.
