Field of Daisies (a Harnic RPG)

Sorry had some work issues

Since I an go feet first I’m going to hand the torch behind me to Cella and try to hold on to the edge while i go over the edge sideways. Hopefully I’ll at least get my feet under me. Once I’m down I’ll help the other two down.

((Damn! Thinks Ingmar… He might have realized how to collect those 'splody 'Shrooms! Perhaps he will find some more and be able to try to collectink them again, no?

Otherwise, he reminds himself to go back and try to grab more of them with his new idea. BORK BORK BORK!

You make it down successfully, but it’s not exactly Flying Wallendas in style. Your trousers are half pulled off, and for a minute or two you’re left there dangling (in more ways than one) in the most undignified fashion. From the other tunnel where you saw the other torchlight, you hear a little giggling.

Now that there is a person down from each tunnel, getting everyone else down will be much easier.

Looking forward to being out of the crawly space.

After helping the others down I’m going to reclaim my torch and carefully head off around the edge to meet the other group. Hopefully we can extinguish one of these torches to make them last longer.

OK, you’re all out eventually, after suffering a few little indignities as well as some minor scraping and bruising.

Think of this room as being a square, although it’s more circular. There are tunnels in each corner. Symon, Cella, and Eran came out of the northeast tunnel. Gered, Brunis, and Ingmar came out of the northwest.

Walking through this room is going to be tricky. Every 10 feet, everyone will need to make an agility check. The closer you keep to the wall, the easier it will be. Failure indicates a slip or fall, and that hole in the middle of the room looks awfully deep.

I think we need to look or go down that hole. It’s a likely place for a child to fall and become trapped.

"I’ll let you be the one to check the hole. I think that we should check it on our way out as a last resort.

Do we want to stick together or split again? As large as this cavern is looking I think we need to conserve the torches those climbs will not be fun in the dark. Let’s start on the southwest tunnel."

We should stay together.

I don’t see the point of searching farther in. It’s going to be difficult for all of us to make it around the hole without slipping. At the very least, we need to be able to retrieve one of us from the hole in the likely event that one of us slips into it.

Does anyone have rope? We need to go get some, if we don’t.

If one of us belly-crawls toward the hole, would there be no risk of stumbling?

The risk is lessened somewhat, but there is still the risk of slipping down the hole. Imagine crawling around on a wet slate roof.

You guys have no rope.

I think we’ve underestimated the endeavor before us. We need to go back and get more torches, several long ropes, and whatever else may be useful. Maybe some poles or spikes.

Right now, we’re looking at one or more of us getting trapped here as well as the missing boy.

“I agree we won’t be able to help any one if we get trapped ourselves. Let go get more torches and rope. It would probably be a good idea to get some bandages incase the boy is hurt as well.”

Once we all come to agreement Symon is going to climb back up the taller cliff and go through the wide tunnel and not crawl back through the tiny one.

Agreed that some of us should go back. I’d like to stay here and watch the place, though. We should be able to borrow the rope, at least, since we’re using it to look for the boy.

It would be nice to confirm that the kid’s in here, if we could, though.

Anyone object to a good yell?

I’m going to be unable to game until at least midday Sunday, so come to a consensus about leaving, splitting the party up, yelling, etc.

See you in a couple of days.

“I’m worried about our torches. I think we need to head back. The boy has been missing for several days a couple more hours won’t matter much and we wont be able to help him if we become trapped here ourselves.”

Unless there’s an objection, we’re headed back for needed supplies.

Heading back is fine with me. Maybe in stead of torches we can get a lantern or two. They’re more reliable.
