Field of Daisies (a Harnic RPG)

Can I try to push the door? Or pull it in and out? Or trying to insert something into the slots to knock it loose (maybe my axe?)

“How about just pushing up. It may slide up.”

I’ll be away from my computer for a few days. See you guys on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Happy Memorial Day!

So, when we last saw our intrepid heroine and assorted heroes, they were puzzling out a hidden door. Let us continue following their adventures…

“Any luck with the sliding? If it doesn’t work I think we need to consider moving on we will pass buy again on our way out and we can always try again.”

I’m back!

So… Trying to slide it up? How many people do you have trying it? The door looks awfully heavy.

There are four of us prying on it.

And we’re all pushing in the same direction.

OK. Four hernias it is.

Actually, one person could have done it, but it would have taken some doing.

It slides up. You can tell that it pivots on an up-down axis.

Bork bork bork!
Ingmar pulls out his axe and awaits one of the others to go a-scoutink

Anyone opening the door and looking in?

If Ingmar is stepping back, I think Symon was next closest to the door. Does he go through?

(If he takes too long deciding, I’ll go first.)

Yep I’ll go through first with my dagger in one hand and the torch in the other. I’ll search around for any traps or obvious dangers.

Certainly no OBVIOUS traps or danger.

You enter the northwest corner of a room roughly 7x7x7. It is square and obviously built by some sort of intelligent creature. The quality of stonework exceeds that of any you’ve ever seen. On the east and south walls are torch brackets. There is a door on the east wall.

“This was not built by a little boy.”

“This is quite curious but I’m not sure we should be searching this abode yet. I don’t think that boy could have made it past the door, maybe we should look for him elsewhere before we continue deeper.”

Symon is going to search around the room for any hidden doors or signs of occupation.

None that you can detect.

Eren, with his ears all a-twitter, thinks he might hear crying.

I hear something. I think the boy is here.

Symon, I think this is exactly where we need to be. Maybe the boy didn’t get here himself - that just means we have somebody else to deal with.

“Which way is the sound coming from?”

From behind the door.
