Fifth Disease (Really, that's what it's called)

gt, we got back from breakfast and errands around 10:30, and I was outside by 11. After my last post, I went back out and finished the forsythia out front. Then I planted half a dozen shrubs in the back yard, and pruned a few more bushes in the back yard. Next was to mow out front - it’s been so dry lately, I was in the midst of a dust storm much of the time. Then it was time to break out the push mower and finish mowing the ditches and the hill.

That was quite enough. I came in and showered, and when my sweetie got home, we had some sketties for dinner. We’re watching TV and complaining about our respective aches. It was a productive day, but I expect we’ll pay for it tomorrow.

Ya know, FCM, you’re making it hard for me to feel virtuous.

I weeded and deadheaded the front and side of my little house, replanted a hellebore that some varmint had pulled up, and then attacked the chameleon plant that the previous homeowners so kindly left me (read the comments at the bottom of the page). It’s very pretty, but it’s a major thug and I’ve spent the past 6 years trying to eradicate it.

Should have done more, but I just didn’t feel like it. (So it’s my fault…I admit… reluctantly.) I keep thinking I’ll have one superproductive day, but it doesn’t seem like it’s going to happen anytime soon. Other life keeps intervening.

Well, for this evening’s entertainment I’m going to put together my album from Local Best Friend’s wedding. Otherwise I’ll forget what the heck we did and who’s in all the pictures. And maybe I’ll watch a movie or something.

Is it something you put in a bfireplace?
