File Naming in Windows Explorer Question

I have some songs I downloaded and some idiots dont know how to use CDDB to name the files so they do not have artist information listed. The problem this causes is that Media Player will not put the songs without anything shown in the “artist” field into the proper playlists. Windows explorer will let me change the file name no problem, but I need to change the “artist” field and it wont let me.

Is there a way to repair the names of these music files? Including the artist field and album fields? If you are trying to figure out what I am talking about go to your music folder and put the details view on and you will see the artist field.

Get Winamp. Got it?

Okay. Load the file into the playlist. Up in the top section of Winamp on the left side of the window where the graphic equalizer is, there’s that column of letters, OAIDV. They are difficult to see if the player isn’t in Double Size Mode. Click the D to toggle Double Size Mode.

Click in the I. It opens up the ID3 tag editor where you can make whatever changes you want to.

Awsome. I will try it out tomorrow. I knew someone would know some way to do this. Thanks
