As has been pointed out* ad infinitum*, many, many of Trump’s businesses have been dismal failures, ending in bankruptcy, and loss of money for the investors.
Of course, Trump himself was not harmed too badly financially by these disasters; he managed to insulate his personal wealth from his failures.
This, of course, is how he can call himself “successful”, while failing at so many things. He just says “look how rich i am, so I must be doing great things”. Yes, he is PERSONALLY doing fine, but only at the expense of others losing lots of money.
So here’s how I see a Trump Presidency: Trump will make out just fine PERSONALLY. His wealth will likely grow exponentially. The rest of the country though? Trump does not care if every business goes under, as long as HE PERSONALLY makes money.
Trump knows how to work the system to his advantage. That’s not failure, that’s smart.
Failures quit. Trump hasn’t quit yet, no matter how many “failures” get thrown his way, he keeps coming.

Then there’s the savvy businessman who knows how to work a system and get shit done.

The only thing worse (and more incorrect) than talking head political pundits spewing forth party talking points on TV, are armchair basement political pundits regurgitating political blogoshpere talking points on an internet forum.
Just accept it, the pendulum is swinging back to the right. It is a self-correcting phenomenon occurring as a result of the way our Founding Fathers set this whole thing up. Eight years ago, we saw it swing from the right to the left, now it is swinging back. This has been so back through recent political history.
We are a nation that manages to hang near the center line while drifting back and forth down the highway. Like a drunk driver.
I don’t give a shit how many times Trump has had a failed business. He has had many more successes and is currently succeeding. He has successfully worked the system. That’s what it is all about. Working the system to your advantage. Anything else is a Pollyanna pipedream.
Well, yeah, if what you want in a POTUS is someone who will game the system to benefit himself. Personally, I prefer it if the POTUS is looking out for other people beyond himself, but I suppose it takes all sorts.
